I am a freelance writer and recipe developer living in Brooklyn. I write personality-driven stories on the intersection of food and politics, recipe features, Q&As, cocktail studies, and more for outlets like Eater,
Food & Wine, Munchies,
VegNews, Tales of the Cocktail, The Awl, and others, and often contribute photography to my pieces. For nearly six years, I worked on the online copy desk at
New York magazine; I spent the last four of those as senior copy editor before moving on to a digital editorial position with
Food & Wine. Currently, I am associate editor and social media manager at
Edible's Brooklyn and Manhattan editions.
I was once called the "non-dairy queen" by
Long Island Business News, and my bakery La Pirata Kitchen will occasionally pop up for events like Vegan Drinks. I've also received press as a DJ and event organizer from
Brooklyn Paper and the
Village Voice.
