Hello! I’ve remade my blog, since I have had a lot of anxiety about posting on this one. Hopefully turning a new leaf will let me be braver with sharing my thoughts and my interests on tumblr. If I end up feeling like the move was pointless I’ll probably return here, but for now my main blog is @elavyr!! Please follow me over there if you are interested. Oh yeah, worth noting is that since the new blog is on a new account I am back to the beginning with following blogs. Having gone from a dash of 700+ blogs to ~30 makes my dash very slow, and most likely I will be following most people back on my new one, assuming we have at least vaguely similar interests

@why-animals-do-the-thing I’m no jellyfish expert, but doesn’t that tank look cramped?

Actually, for jellies, that tank is fine. They live well in high concentrations - just check out the photos of the lake population in Palau to get an idea of what they’re good with - and I’ve seen them in this density in the Boston harbor multiple summers in a row. This looks like a pretty cool tank for moon jellies, too; circular tanks are required for them to do well because they only move with current, so a sphere is a neat way to display them.
