Who does Roark admire?
Goodness — who doesn’t he admire? I guess I’ll make a small list with a brief reason why? I don’t want this getting too long lol.
❣: Describe a way that will earn affection (whether platonic or romantic) from them.
Compliment him. Roark has little to no self-esteem, so just hearing someone take the time to praise what he’s done will make him really happy.
❤ : Describe a physical action that shows complete trust.
Normally he isn’t a touchy-feely guy, but he’ll be more willing to express his feelings through touch. Subtle things like pats on the shoulder and back might be shown here, or rare things like hugs.
☾ : On a sleepless night, what would they be found doing?
On a sleepless night, he’s usually seen walking around Oreburgh or, sometimes, he sneaks into the Mine. It’s not a safe, but he’s got nothing else to do and digging just seems like lots of fun at 4 AM.

If Roark trusts someone, he is more honest with them. Roark is the type of guy that brushes his opinions away if he feels it does not fit with the other person, but he’ll be more willing to share what he really thinks and feels earnestly. Also, he’ll drop the ‘Mister’ and ‘Miss’ in front of their names.
✏ : What are their creative outlets?
Not many people know this, because he would much rather it stay a secretly, but he plays a bit of the guitar. He’s not that good, but it’s something to do. Something different.

people’s writing I admire
So I know some of y’all don’t like being called senpai, and since I’ve been on here, I don’t necessarily like saying these writers “intimidate me” because they don’t. I really REALLY enjoy seeing these people on my dash and each thing they post is an enjoyable read. I love their interpretations of their characters. I haven’t rped with everyone, but these are people I’ve rped with or I’ll periodically see on my dash. Y’all either make me laugh or cry or FEELSY with your threads (and just ooc) -cries-

The best thing to do when you’re lost was to ask for directions, right? He should really be asking someone about that right about now, but… that building over there just looked so cool and interesting and did I mention cool? A little bit of exploration couldn’t really hurt, could it? What was a few more minutes of not knowing where the heck you were?
Regrettably, upon entering, Luke only had more questions as to where the heck he’d wound up. Was that… a dinosaur? Actually, were pterodactyls technically dinosaurs or did they fall into that same awkward category that plesiosaurs did? You know, that whole, yeah they’re prehistoric creatures and look like dinosaurs but they’re actually not?
Okay, you know what, that didn’t matter right now. Who cared what was technically a dinosaur and what wasn’t? The real point here is that he is like 99% sure he’s seeing a real life hecking pterodactyl right now? Oh my god???
And he didn’t see any other people here right now either. Oh my god. Oh god. He’s going to die. Let’s just… yell something and hope someone answers.

It was places like this that he enjoyed more than anything. Fossils and artifacts lined up the walls and exhibits, making his heart swell with joy and a small sense of pride. Everything was so prim, which made him happy that such things were held with such respect; fossils and something dated deserved to be due to how fragile they can be. At least here, there was no way they would be disrupted and no way could they be harmed with how little commotion there was. Perfect. Absolutely perf—

He broke from his musings when he heard the sound of a voice ringing throughout the building, blinking in response. Did he imagine that or what? Usually he would dismiss something like this, but there seemed to be a little hint of distress in the tone of voice. He couldn’t just leave them like that, right? Plus, if he could help in anyway, he should just go on and do it.
Roark followed the where he heard the voice coming from, instantly noticing a rather confused looking kid. Was he alright? His eyebrows furrowed slightly in worry as he moved around the dinosaur display, putting on his best smile. “Uh… are ya okay? Y’look a li’l confused.” Was he not used to museums like this? It certainly didn’t seem like it.
Roark’s biggest fear is ultimately disappointing Byron and Riley with his failure and incapability of being a better gym leader. With the two of their recommendations, he feels as if he owes them for getting the job in the first place. Because of this, he often tries to seek out praise or even just acknowledgement from the both of them.
