I know most people hate packing (and even moreso unpacking) but I find it oddly comforting. There’s nothing better than preparing to get away, I think there’s a word for that. And packing for con especially is my happy place

Aside from the random reblog I haven't really posted much since early 2016 and I wanted to explore a little bit of where I’ve been since then. The short story is: everywhere.

Well not everywhere because there are still some places I’m looking forward to going and places I can’t wait to get back to again. Just next week I’m headed to Chicago for a con, I haven’t been there in over a decade and I get to detour to Wisconsin to see my mom and acquire a little something of the Kings of Con variety for a photo op and even though the Midwestern United states is not all that distant or exotic it’s going to be an adventure! A great deal of my adventures from the past year have just been in California, which is only a four hour or so drive from me, but it isn’t the distance, it isn’t always about the exoticness of the locale, most of the time it’s just about the excitement.

I spent a great deal of my life vastly unexcited with the world and I feel like I spent some of the most important years of my life asleep. Now that I’m awake I’m on fire and I’m screaming! (that’s why I always make that face in selfies)

I could say I haven’t posted to this blog in so long because I was busy and that is true, but really I just didn’t know how to define or conceptualize the journey that I was on and I didn’t want to keep fandom blogging and reblogging shitposts (well I mean I’ll still probably do some of that too but)

Most of you who follow me probably don’t even remember who I used to be, and that’s fine, she wasn’t that memorable or that noticeable. So for those of you who are just noticing now: I’m Thrsday and this is my blog.

I do intend to start using this space again to chronicle some of my travels and to post about making cosplays and props and makeup tips plus I have lots to talk about with what we’re doing with our webseries and all kinds of other future fandom and nonfandom plans, just waned to pop in with a hello of sorts and reintroduce myself with the new URL
