I have to admit that I took @AcidBetty's elimination from @RuPaulsDragRace last week quite to heart. I see a lot of myself in Betty, and it saddens me to see her journey on Season 8 come to an end. Still, I have high hopes for this talented artist. Despite the petty hatred from childish viewers, she is now royalty, she has now found her people and her people have found her. I am proud to be one of them. I truly hope that our journeys will cross paths and in the meantime, I'm ready to show you all some Acidtude!
This is the final version of my KimChi “Paradise, Not For Me” kimono design. Added a watercolor look to it, and I think it is ideal for an all over shirt. I already have one on the way for myself.

It's been such a heavy week for@RuPaulsDragRace. The episode everyone was waiting for "Snatch Game" brought with it so many mixed emotions. Some dislikes the character impersonations (Michael, Kimmy Jong Un and Uso where everything) , some didn't like the similar runway looks and some, like me, are absolutely devastated that@AcidBetty "Sashayed Away." I enjoyed the episode regardless to popular opinion, aside from the elimination for obvious reasons, but alas the race continues.
The moment@KimChi_Chic walked out in that kimono, everyone who follows my work knew I would be drawing a piece related to it. And how could I not? I also quite enjoyed @ThorgyThor's kimono I must say.
I originally planned on fully painting this piece, but I stopped at this point wondering if I should keep it this way. I kind of like the elegance and simplicity in it, and think it would look wonderful as is on a white/cream all-over shirt. What do you think? Should I fully paint this piece, or leave it in a simple sketchy look?

Trying my hand at something completely different, inspired by the beautiful and charming @KimChi_Chic.
This Pablo Picasso styled portrait shows KimChi in her Neon Couture runway look on the main stage of RuPaul's Drag Race. It is definitely one of my favorite looks of the season this far as it literally fully embodies art and celebrates color and traditional art in the most creative of ways. I am so impressed with all the stunning looks KimChi has been giving us, and I just had to spend some time to work on something completely out of my comfort zone to try and match her level of creativity.
I truly hope she likes this painting I did of her, and surely will not be the list piece I do in this style as I quite enjoyed it!

We are 4 episodes into this season of @RuPaulsDragRace, 8 if you count Untucked, and I still for the life of me cannot understand how @AcidBetty can be seen as the villain. Perhaps it is because I see a lot of myself in her. I'm not easily intimidated, I strive for perfection whatever the costs, I wouldn't let anyone or anything hold me back, I take my craft very seriously and I have a knack for sounding like a complete asshole even when I'm just stating my honest/blunt opinion, even when I am trying to be nice. But does it really matter how we are perceived at the end of the day? Weather you see us as a villain or a hero, we are who we are. We embrace it. We own it. And we're hella fierce at it.
I wanted to draw this as soon as she stepped onto that main stage, and I am a few weeks late, but better late than never. It doesn't do Acid any justice on any level, and I will have to do more pieces of her until I finally nail it, but I do hope she enjoys this small tribute.
