anyways! its BEEN quite awhile and i’ve been dealing with life && other things that has made me leave this blog && site alone for sometime. but i’ve been trying to figure ways to keep at least this blog than my others i have. not only is it my LONGEST blog && muse i had but also the only one of blogs that hasn’t been archived yet. so hurray?! lol    i waited for my queue to run out to decide to whether or not reboot it, however its SO messy && i don’t really have the energy to go thru to to clean it up. so i decided to move this blog to a freshly new beautiful one. its not up yet ( having internet problems rn ) but will be up soon && will have the same the url. if you wish to keep following me feel free to do so on the new blog. i’d really appreciate it. i will keep all threads i have in my drafts && move them over so no worries on that. all relationships will be the same or in the same state as they were on this blog. pretty much everything including theme ( bc i’m really proud of it…) will be the same unless told otherwise just CLEANER! just thanks for the fun times here && hope to have the new one up soon! thanks again! :3 -chrys

[ NEWS ] King Tut’s Blade Made of Meteorite

King Tut was buried with a dagger made of an iron that literally came from space, says a new study into the composition of the iron blade from the sarcophagus of the boy king.

Using non-invasive, portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, a team of Italian and Egyptian researchers confirmed that the iron of the dagger placed on the right thigh of King Tut’s mummified body a has meteoric origin.

The team, which include researchers from Milan Polytechnic, Pisa University and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, detailed their results in the journal Meteoritics and Planetary Science.

The weapon, now on display at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, was described in 1925 by Howard Carter, who three years before had discovered the treasure-packed tomb, as “a highly ornamented gold dagger with crystal knob.”

Made of non-rusted, homogeneous metal, the finely manufactured blade features a decorated gold handle. It is completed by a gold sheath garnished with a floral lily motif on one side and with a feathers pattern on the other side, terminating with a jackal’s head.
