Confession: I hate all the romance options in DA2. Anders- murders innocent people, likes Tevinter. Approves when you give Fenris to Danarius. Fenris- a moody former slave who I feel pity for. He generalizes all mages as evil Vints. He has murdered those who tried to help him in cold blood and shows no remorse for doing so. Isabela- is AT LEAST partially responsible for the Qunari attack in Kirkwall. Merrill- a blood Mage who is responsible for her keepers death and possibly her clan’s.
Merril isn’t responsible for anyone’s death! Marethari of her own accord did that. Merril did nothing. Merril encouraged her clan to move on without her, Marethari stayed and deliberately sabotaged Merril’s progress AND told the clan outright lies about her. Fenris - a former slave doesn’t have any right to be moody? He can’t help but generalize mages as evil Vints considering he was raised in Tevinter, BY a society of Evil Vint Mages! I don’t know what game you were playing but Fenris seemed to be deeply remorseful of how he killed the Fog Warriors, as a result of his mental conditioning due to his slavery. And yes, Isabela stole to Tome of Koslun because her life was threatened. As someone who previously risked her life to free slaves, I doubt she realized the impact of her actions would lead the Arishok to follow her. The Qunari attack was fuelled by Petrice, who deliberately set up the Qunari to be reviled. Iaabela was certainly involved - but hardly responsible.
