damn not anymore
Morgan Wallen - Chasin' You
Big Effing Reminder: If you’re adopting a healthier lifestyle, please don’t get discouraged after a damn week. You need to be patient and remember this is a slow, steady process and your body needs time to adjust. This shit doesn’t happen overnight or in a week. Chill.
my heart is aching in a happy way for the Angel inside of that would have died for a PR, a school record, an NCAA qualification. there were genuine moments when the happiness running produced was complete and whole and healthy, and there were moments when things turned dark and i was consumed. either way, running was my very first love. the first thing i felt like i could move mountains for, the first thing that produced a real sorrow and grief when i failed, in my eyes if not in the eyes of others. it was mine. completely. i constructed my entire world around it for better or for worse. i miss it, in doses, but i can look back and say “i loved it, it was good, it made me” and not want to be wrapped up in it anymore.
The hardest part
Is starting y’all.
After finishing grad school and lacking motivation to workout, I’M BACK!
I’ve found my motivation and I’m doing the damn thing!
who am i without rice.
this is stronger than most relationships
reminders for the overworked soul
- you don’t need to be productive all the time
- you don’t need to have productive breaks
- expand your definition of “productive” to include non-academic things
- don’t measure your worth by the number of things you do or how pretty your bujo is
- remember to have fun and little breaks between work
- you are studying/working to become more informed, to learn about the things that excite you - not to check off your to-do lists
- you don’t need to monetise or make your hobbies productive; they are lovely on their own
- you are lovely on your own
