Hi Diana, I just wanted to say that I LOVED All Your Twisted Secrets!! Also, what advice would you give to aspiring young authors? Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for the kind words!

  • Read a lot
  • Write knowing you can always revise it later
  • Make friends with other aspiring authors to go through the process together (find them on Twitter, AbsoluteWrite, Reddit… anywhere these days, really)
  • Mentally prep for a long journey. It’s a tough path.

Good luck!

Happy Cranberry Sauce Day to all those who celebrate from me, Amber, Priya, Scott, Diego, Sasha, Robbie, Crystal, Akira, Matty, Randall, Dylan, Zoey, Jade, Felix, Lainey, Silas, Navya, Divya, Miguel, and Tate! (Whew, that’s becoming quite a mouthful!) I’m so thankful for all of you in the book community — dear author friends, my lovely street team, readers, booksellers, librarians, teachers, book bloggers/bookstagrammers/booktokers, and my incredible publishing teams. (Yes I am obsessed with cranberry sauce and tbh eat it all year round 🤤)

Hey! I was wondering if you are (or have any control over) handing out ARCs for upcoming books?

My publisher Wednesday Books will be managing ARC distribution for These Deadly Games. When any are available to request (or when there are giveaways on Goodreads or on social media) I will announce them on my Instagram and Twitter!

Hi Diana, I just wanted to say how much I absolutely adored all your twisted secrets. I’ve literally just finished it and I was like I need to find a way to express how much I adored every second of that book! I’ve been reading a lot of classic literature over the past years for university and I think you’ve just reignited my passion for both YA and thrillers. Thank you for that! And 5an you for weaving such beautiful characters together and taking me on quite a journey with them!

Oh my goodness thank you so much. 😭😭💖  This is such a kind message, and it means the world to me.

Also I’m so sorry if it took me forever to respond (I don’t see timestamps on these; I’m a Tumblr newb and the email notifications were going to my spam).

Hey, I was wondering if there was a colored version of the all your twisted secrets title? The line and shade work is beautiful, the colors would help with the little movie in my head as a read :)

Sadly, there isn’t! My publisher commissioned an illustrator for the cover design, and we only have this black and white version with the red accents. I agree the illustration is gorgeous, though. 😍

Were you homeschooled?

Alas, I was not! I attended public schools K-12, then Boston University for college.

Hi! Where are you from/where did you grow up?

Hello! I grew up in New York (Brooklyn, then Westchester). Then I went to Boston University and have lived in Boston ever since. My New York accent still slips out quite a bit, though. 😂

I literally just finished reading All Your Twisted Secrets and it was amazing! Will you write a sequel to it?? I just really want to/have to know what happens to the characters afterwards.

Thank you, I’m so glad you loved it!! There aren’t currently plans for a sequel to All Your Twisted Secrets, though I’ve been blown away but the number of people who’ve asked, so I’ll never say never. But my next book, These Deadly Games, will have a new cast of characters to love... and they'll be going through even more dire circumstances.
