summary:

Kisaki cranes his neck back and takes in the stranger's long, unkempt hair, the wisp of blond that falls over half his face but still fails to disguise his clear-cut features. A shiver runs down his spine. Though Kisaki doesn't recognize him, he knows instinctively that this is no ordinary man.

In the summer of 2003, Kisaki encounters a mysterious hooded figure who asks him to take revenge on his tormentors. Things take a strange and unforgettable turn.

TW blood ! And kinda spoiler for the Tokyo rev manga

A sorta hankisa (?) comic I first imaginated 2 years ago, but didn't have the capabilities, or the confidence to actually draw

Today I'm proud to announce that I finally made it ! The scenario is not really interesting, but it's a project very close to my heart nonetheless :)

So yeah, this post is about hanma being a bit cray cray,

but ALSO, it's about my growth as an artist, and how I am glad drawing made its way into my life, and how it shaped me as a person :')

I know there's not a lotta audience for the hankisa, or hanma centric, side of Tokyo rev, but i hope you fine lads like it :) ❤

Likes are cool, reblogs are cooler btw

My current plan to recover from my mental and emotional existence is to just go so deep into being insane that I'll come out sane on the other side. Being a chronic people pleaser plagued with impostor syndrome stretched me too thin, and that leash simply snapped and I am now a completely untethered, unapologetic vermin.

Fuck having impostor syndrome, if I'm not entitled to be here they should've barred the doors better. If I'm doing everything wrong because of imaginary rules that nobody told me about, that's their problem, you should have made your confusing system more idiot-proof.

I'm not here to please everyone and do everything right. I'm here to make bad art, chew on furniture, make people laugh, cook awful food and look at pretty landscapes, and piss off the people who don't want me to exist. If I have an unseen infinite debt somewhere that I can never pay back, I'm going to keep running that tab until I die. I'm alive purely because the universe is shit at pest control.

i never thought "i'm alive purely bc the universe is shit at pest control" would be my motivation of the day but damn this dude went hard

summary:

A boy no older than ten glances up at him and looks away just as quickly, but not before he catches a familiar pair of round, grey eyes behind even rounder lenses. It’s no wonder Hanma hadn’t spotted him from the entrance. Usually the head and shoulders peeking above the couch would’ve been a dead giveaway, but this boy is so small in stature that sitting down, the backrest completely obscures him from view.

“Oh,” Hanma says. He turns to Kisaki. “Is he yours?”

In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.

I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!

From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!

I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.

The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.

(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)

If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.

The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.

  • insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box
  • add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box
  • delete -> self explanatory
  • on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic

The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.

Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.

HERE'S THAT BITCH IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR

This was not what Kisaki had imagined upon making the reaper of Kabukichou his pawn. Why couldn’t his perfect obedience extend to Kisaki’s personal life as well? He’d expected something more transactional between them, but instead, he’d ended up with this: two game controllers for a console that had been gathering dust until only recently, a growing stack of leopard-print shirts that made his eyes hurt, and a refillable container of hair wax on his nightstand that definitely didn’t belong to him.

In the spring of 2010, Hanma helps Kisaki move into his new apartment.

i think one of the most important things you learn about making connections with others is that a significant portion of the time people just do not know theyre doing what theyre doing

sometimes someone is acting selfish because they just didnt think you had any interest in what theyre hogging. sometimes you dont get invited to the movies because your friend could have sworn that you said no. sometimes you think someone is mad at you because theyre bad at hiding how little sleep they got. we are all like little worlds that briefly crash into one another from time to time and we just arent physically capable of seeing the whole picture at once in those moments. and learning that really changed everything!
