their height difference though… bINCH I’M MOIST

useless add-on: deku’s shoe’s soles (?) are pretty thick actually. i have a pair just like them that give me at least like, 2 inches. it’s pretty small, but i tried to outline both of the height boost their shoes give them, and even tho deku has taller shoes, the very top of his head is basically katsuki’s eye line. this probably isn’t accurate bc i did this in 3 minutes and wrote stupid notes on them but i thought i’d share

THE VERY TOP OF IZUKU’S HEAD IS BASICALLY AT KATSUKI’S EYE LINE.

tHAT IS SO ADORABLE

I believe Kacchan might be slouching.

SO HE MIGHT BE EVEN TALLER THAN DEKU

Hey #Sidon fans…have you still been wondering who voices this handsome fish-man?

What if I told you I’ve known & NOW I CAN OFFICIALLY TELL?

The voice actor for Sidon in Breath of the Wild gave me the Green Light to talk about their involvement! I’m going to drop the news at 5 PM Pacific/ 8 PM Eastern Time TODAY.

For reference, the currently listed voiceover artist for the role on Behind the Voice Actors (Bill Rogers) is INCORRECT. The official VA for Sidon has not been announced before now!

The news will be posted on here as well as on Twitter, so don’t miss out if you’ve been curious! This is not a joke or a fake-out; I was given permission to release the official info and will be doing so at the stated time. :D

Alright dudes, the deadline has passed, as promised!

With permission from the actor himself, I am pleased to officially reveal the Voice Actor for Breath of the Wild’s Sidon…

This name (and the guy himself) may seem new to a lot of you, but that wouldn’t be unusual; Jamie is much more well-known as a voice director for dozens of different videogames - including Horizon: Zero Dawn, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, Hitman (where he also has a writing credit!), and many many more.

In fact, Jamie was also the voice director for Breath of the Wild, meaning he was directly responsible for guiding me to the desired performances for Revali and my other roles. All those times I’ve been talking about how much credit I owed to “my director” for helping me really understand Revali when I was losing hope? That was this guy!

Now, before anyone gets the notion that “Oh, he just cast himself in the game because he was directing it”, I want to make it very clear that Sidon was also up for audition; I actually ALSO had the chance to read for Sidon (in addition to Jamie and many of my competitors), but because my takes sounded too close to Revali it just wasn’t going to work out. I believe (and this is my personal opinion only) that it was at the request of Nintendo that Jamie took up the helm of voicing Sidon.

I firmly believe this to be the case because - and I can say this from personal experience - Jamie is every bit as supportive and optimistic in real life as Sidon is in the game. His overwhelming enthusiasm is what helped me refocus myself when Revali was giving me such a hard time, and I cannot imagine anyone else who would have been a more natural fit for this role than he was. Having Jamie direct me from line to line was like having Sidon himself guiding me through the “Vah Dubbo” dungeon to accomplish my quest.

Jamie might be a little hard to reach directly if you want to share any positive thoughts, as he’s an extremely busy dude (what with all the directing jobs and all…) and isn’t very active on any of his social media accounts for the moment, but if you want you are welcome to leave a Reply here or a Comment on the Twitter post, and I’ll make sure to share them with him!

Tip Tuesday!!! So in this tip, I'm going to be talking about slip stitches. A slip stitch is one way to hem clothes. The common and easy way is to fold the fabric at the length you want and straight stitch it together. It's a good way to hem but leaves that line of stitches out in the open. So if that is not the desired look and you have enough free time the a slip stitch is perfect! How a slip stitch works is that you take a thin needle. Poke it through the fabric that won't be shown and then for the fabric that you are sewing that into, get one tread of it. It may be odd to explain but I hope the pictures make it clear(they are fuzzy, sorry!) Since you are only sewing throw one thread, on the outside of the fabric you can't see it at all! So it gives what you are working on a nice clean look. Though be warned, you have to hand sew. It's not bad but the process is so slow in general that depending on how much you want to slip stitch it can take you a looooooong time. (It took me maybe three weeks (includes class and work time) too finish slip stitching a vest) so if you plan to do this make sure you have time too! And with that I wish you happy sewing!!

Tip Tuesday!! In this tip I'll be talking about how to help keep fabric from fraying with out the use of a serger. Sergers are ridiculously expensive but the are very handy! If you don't know what a serger does then look down at the bottom of your shirt. Most shirts on the inside have a part were the fabric has been folded and there is a ton of seams were the fabric ends. That is most likely made with a serger! It keeps the strands together in the fabric. But what if you don't have a serger or money to buy one? If you have a sewing machine there should be a mode on it that is called a zigzag stitch. If you use that and have it so one side the needle goes in the fabric and that other side it does not, it will have sort of the same effect as a serger! It's not as effective as a serger but it will keep the seams together waaaay better then if you didn't. If you hand sew I have heard that a tight blanket stitch could have the same effect. The white fabric in the picture has a zigzag stitch. Good luck with your sewing!!

I have been thinking for a while that I wanted to have a day to give random advice about cosplay. So I'm going to be doing Tip Tuesday from now on (ಠ◡ಠ) Every Tuesday I'll give one advice that I can think of that might help other cosplayer. So to start it off, my tip for today is when you get a bolt of fabric there should be the sticker that says the price on it per yard. Take a picture of that! It has the price but it also has a ton of useful information. Like what the fabric is made of, how to wash it and something super important, the article number. Now you might be confused but let me explain. The article number is the only way employees can look up the fabric to see where it is and how much they have at that time. So if you come in with just the fabric and ask for help finding more for your cosplay, they can't do much to help. But if you have that Article number they can help you find it super quick. I know this trick definitely applies to Joanns but not sure about all fabric stores.
