things that are hilarious:

  • the fact that Tumblr’s userbase is largely comprised of jaded, cynical, broke-ass 16-25 year olds who hate capitalism, use adblocking software and are as such incredibly resistant to targeted marketing
  • Yahoo’s desperate, pitiful attempts to monetise the site in spite of this
  • the massive, massive losses they’re incurring as a result

“coca-cola strips rust from metal i can’t believe you put that in your body” that’s because carbonic acid reverses the oxidisation process you dipshit even tonic water does it

of course I put it in my body. I need something to strip the debris out of my synthetic metal interior. just because the robot uprising is here doesn’t mean we cyborgs stop taking care of ourselves

It is absurd

and completely disgusting, that people actually believe Jose Reyes deserves a redemption story.

He isn’t going to be the poster boy against domestic Abuse. he is the cautionary tale nobody listened to.

Jose Reyes is the man that teenage jocks who make crude comments at girls in school will look up to, he is the example to follow, the type of man to aspire to be, he is the baseball player who got away with it.

If he is truly back tomorrow, as soon as he walks up to that plate, we will see an abuser getting a standing ovation and being welcomed back with open arms, we will see a criminal getting lauded because he is good at playing a sport.

And thanks to the organisation we love as fans, we will be complicit of this moment.

MLB supports a domestic abuser.

The Mets support a domestic abuser.

And as we cheer and hope for our team to win, we will then, by association, be supporters of a domestic abuser.

Please don’t fall for the narrative.

This isn’t a story of redemption, it is the perpetuation of the total disregard for women in the industry that is all male lead major sports.

Sucks to still feel so much for the Mets.
