On the Roswell Reboot...

Stop reading if you don't want spoilers...also, I should state that I'm a HUGE fan of the original series so...here we go.

1. Theme song? Opening credits? Get new theme song please. I know it's a time suck but, I really enjoyed a good theme song to get me in the mood...

2. Max...you're cute and all but slow down bro. You're giving me a creepy, stalker feel. 10 years passed and you didn't know her that well before and now you're all like I love you?!?! Nooooooooo! You have to build that up. It's cool to have admiration for her, harbor some unresolved feeling or never ending crush but the big L? Slow down mijo. Also, I didn't love how they pass the memories and that scene felt a bit forced. I can't pin down whether it was Liz or Max but it didn't work for me.

3. Kyle...him being brought in so fast to the TOP SECRET ALIEN HUNTER thing is bizarre. What kind of classified, military dude gives that up so easily? I expected a little more on this...felt very rushed and unrealistic.

4. Maria: I get it, she has a different role but, it did not feel like her and Liz are BFFs. Needed some more screen time so hopefully we will get to see more of that develop overtime.

5. Rosa: liking this plot already...I bet alien mumbo jumbo had something to do with her death...called it!

6. Isobel: I don't know how her character will be affected by no Alex BUT... the sibling bond there came across well...so curious to see what she did to Liz to make her leave...this plot will be good to explore and an added dimension to their complicated sibling relationship.

7. Speaking of Alex...OMGGGGGGG!!! I gotta say, this whole thing saved it for me. Michael and Alex. YESSSSS!! I know the Michael-Maria lovers will hate this but...I think this is a good change that adds a level of complexity and can really help explain the mess that is this Michael. I dig it. I ship it. Enough said.

8. Michael: what the f? At first I was like dude...why are you soooooo incredibly hostile? Past Michael was angry, impulsive and short tempered but more than that...he was cold and closed off as a way to protect himself and not let anyone in. That's why Maria worked so well... she beat down that wall. But this Michael....taking the anger and carelessness to another level. Not sure how that fits with him being really smart in this version but, we'll see how they play this out. Also, the bond between Max and Michael already seems so broken...where do they expect to take this? Again, I wanted a bit of a build up to that tension.

9. Social commentary: excellent. Hate ICE, the wall is stupid and loved all the legal talk.

So...will I continue to watch? YES. I will give this a shot...looking forward to seeing the changes but will love the OG 4 ever!!!
