You Have No Right To Bitch (About Politics) If You Don't Vote

If you can vote, and you choose not to, and you bitch about politics after this election, I swear to god I will force you to endure endless political debates for all eternity. If you have the chance to make a difference, and choose not to act on that opportunity , you have no right to talk about our (future) government (to me). You may think that everything the government does on behalf of Canada, and for Canada will not directly affect you, but it inadvertently does. You might complain about the parties not forming a platform directed towards the 'new voters' or how nothing they're promising benefits you. And it's because this generation of voters, while being among the most populous, doesn't actively believe that one vote can change anything. And we're selfish. You know we are. But this election isn't just for you. Or me. It's for our Canada, and for all Canadian's futures. Don't like the Conservatives and the Harper Government? Fuck 'em, vote for Liberal, or NDP. Don't like the ideals and promises and evidence of NDP in Alberta? Fuck 'em. Vote Conservative or Liberal. Don't like the Liberal platform, or so called lack of experience? Fuck 'em. Vote NDP or Conservative. Honestly, I don't care who you vote for at the end of the day. And you don't have to justify to me who or why you voted for whichever party. You want your voice to be heard? Here's your golden ticket in the form of a voting ballot. Now, don't get me wrong, if you vote, and the turnout isn't what you expected or is dissatisfying in anyway, then please. By all means bitch to me about it. However, If you want something to change, get off your ass and go change it. Don't you dare complain to me if you squandered that. Don't you even think about it. But duuuuudeee, the government's corrupt and not worth it, blah blah blah. Quit bitching, pick up a fucking ballot and do something about it.
