  He shakes his head, sighing. "My apologies, and good luck with your meeting. Having been to several myself in the interests of Remedi the queen, I am assured that such a thing is very important. I'm certain someone will be waiting. It is no problem of mine, but I must apologize for keeping you."

  So... wonderful. He was lost, then. Muttered, "I need to find him. I need to end him."

       Blind dates weren’t her usual type of entertainment, but the idea wasn’t abhorrent — after all, what else did she have to do? She knew Balamb Town like the back of her hand; nothing surprised her anymore — thus, the idea was embraced. She dressed as instructed, quelling her desire to dress up further. She wouldn’t want to look overdone and give a bad first impression, after all.

       The young man’s voice attracted her attention and she turned to view him, soon enough to see him bow before her. Such presentation was still largely unfamiliar to her, yet she was less taken aback by it as she might have been before.

       A nod preceded a gentle wave, smile rising easily upon rosen lips. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, too, Llednar. I’m Hikari.”

  He was... easily surprised, for someone like himself. Truly -- though he should've expected no less, being so... foreign, to this place. And vice versa, too, all things considered. Perhaps it was a bit nice, though, to have a bit of surprise. New things were... interesting.   After all, that was part of his reason for doing this -- trying to do something new. Difficult for him, perhaps, at least at first. But he was beginning to enjoy himself. The young lady he'd been "paired" with, for lack of a better word, seemed sweet enough, too. His first impression, at least. He wasn't one to assume immediately.

"A pretty name for a pretty girl." Light laughter, not in a mean way -- he was not trying to flirt so much as give a good first impression himself. He blinked a bit, looking around for a moment-- "Have you ever been in this restaurant before? I'd say it's quite nice, myself..."

The little Hyur shrugs a little, putting her hands behind her back. “No….not really…I mean I got papa so it’s not ‘ike I haveta deal wit’ her by m’self…”

He rubs the back of his head, blinking at her, "Well, at least you aren't alone in it, I suppose. It must be difficult for him, too, though." All the while, thinking to himself about his own 'family', and how strange it is.

And he releases the other's hand himself, nodding.

  "So it seems, at least." He shrugs lightly, "I... haven't been away from home much, to be perfectly honest."

He shakes his head. "More likely than not, you've not heard of me either. I am Llednar Twem."

He extends his hand. "A pleasure."

"Y’know ya dun haveta be so formal ‘bout it if it’s buggin’ ya. I ain’t no princess or nothin’." She looks up at him and tilts her head to the side a little.

"S’okay, mom’s bad wit’ kids too."

He shakes his head, sighing slightly.

  "That is merely the manner by which I speak, you see. Having always been around royalty myself, I've grown far too accustomed..." He blinks, looking at the small girl quizzically after the latter statement.    "Truly? Are you not burdened by that at all...?"

"I don't handle children too well, but perhaps... I could do some learning." Sigh, "My apologies, little miss." He's slightly confused on how he ended up in this situation, but... "Anyhow, it's... a pleasure..." Grimace.
