life was hectic. the always going, never stopping until your head hit the pillow pace, but Andrea LIVED for that. there wasn’t so much in her life except the day in and day out filing of papers at the law firm she worked for. a clerk job, but it still gave her this sense of PURPOSE. one thing however, was looking after her sister, Amy. only four years younger than her, it wasn’t a big job, but she felt a ( responsibility ) to her; for their parents sake. besides, it was only a couple more days before they set out on their road trip.

the blonde pulled up to the sidewalk and looked out of the window, trying to spot her sister’s head among the hundreds that went to school. getting out of the car after a few too many minutes, she saw a brunette-- was that the girl Amy had told her about? Allison or something? they had biology together from what she remembered. hearing someone call her Alicia-- yes, that’s what it was, she swiftly approached her.

“um, excuse me, do you know Amy Harrison? I’m her sister, Andrea, she mentioned having class with you.”

“i can’t even pee in front of you yet, how am i suppose to marry you?” he inquired with genuine concern in his tone.

“I never got that, Rick. I mean, we’ve had sex -- we’ve slept together NAKED-- I would’ve thought that after that, well...” she rolled her eyes before looking back up, “but I guess if you simply can’t find it in your heart to see past that one thing, well I won’t hold it against you.”

oh, she was so FEARFUL. she could feel her shaking beside her, blonde locks flowing down her shoulders in curls; how awful it would be for it to be splattered with RED. she has a responsibility to her, to her mother. of course, it had happened so fast. it ALWAYS happens fast. walkers, in ( droves ) came on them, a HERD they’re calling it these days. and even though she’s the best shot in their group; there’s no way she’d risk it.

“hey now, Sophia? yeah, look at me now. we’re gonna get you back to your mom okay, so don’t you worry about that. but I need you to help me--” she inhaled and licked her lips. what the fuck was she supposed to do? Sophia wasn’t like anyone else, and she certainly wasn’t like CARL. she was useless with a gun, and there was a part of the woman that didn’t want to burden her with it. “you’re gonna hold my hand okay, and if you get scared, you can close your eyes. but you need to be real quiet, and try to move as quick as you can.” if she needed to, she would just carry the girl on her shoulder. she couldn’t be THAT heavy.

she felt sick to her stomach. it could’ve been worse, she told herself. though losing TWELVE people-- T W E L V E including Ezekiel; well, it couldn’t have gone worse. all they had been building and striving for, was reduced again. it was taken from them, unwillingly. and how easy they just let it slip away. she’s thankful she still has her boys though. if anything had happened to them, to her FAMILY-- perhaps that’s why she feels as sick as she does. it could’ve been worse. she imagines Rick’s head-- Carl’s...and shudders.

and the PEOPLE, they were infuriated by Rick’s lack of recourse.

it’s all falling apart. “those people want BLOOD-- if we don’t give it to them, if we don’t allow them to get their revenge? it’s not going to end well.” and for the first time, in a very VERY long time, she was afraid. “Rick, what do we do?”

”Dad back yet?” Judith stepped inside the living room area where she             found Andrea, doing  -  well she  didn’t know what she was doing and             at the moment, the brunette didn’t  care. Not out of disrespect but out             of  interest in  her own worries. Carl wasn’t here anymore and that left             the  twenty  four  year  old  — isolated.  Though  she  did  have friends,             Carl  was  just  -  more  interesting  to  talk  to  on  those boring days.             Maybe I should write him a letter.                                             “I’m not sure if he said today or tomorrow.”

The blonde had been busy all day, going through Rick's usual itinerary. There was      the usual report with Eugene, and some harvesting with the newcomer Magna.      After a quick trip to check on Siddiq, she headed home. At the moment she      wasn't doing much of anything, merely sitting on the couch, enjoying the silence.      She didn't revel in it though, and missed Rick and Carl both the moment they      were gone. Seeing the eldest Grimes walk in, she knew her own longing couldn't      compare; it was the first time after all that the youngest would be separated from      them all.

"He said he might stay an extra day to get Carl situated up there. If anything      he should be back tomorrow." Sitting up as she gazed at the brunette, Andrea      could still sense the subtle animosity coming from her. "Would you like some      lunch? Was just about to warm up some leftover chili."

“Christ —- having a shortage on food, with him around, would be a living nightmare.” Rick stated aloud, not wanting to even imagine how t h a t would unfold. The constant hunger. “New food would come in and it’d be gone within a matter of moments.” He assumed before reaching and taking her hand into his, pulling her in close to him. “Now that he’s also gone, we’ll be able to display our affection for one another without that childish look of disgust across his face.” A smirk came over his features, “I’m glad he still thinks girls have c o o t i e s.” He remarked before placing a loving kiss upon Andrea’s lips. “Now what were you thinking for lunch, hm?”

An amused huff of air leaves her lips as she nods, only agreeing with him. Of course it was all in good fun, she loved Carl after all, like her own son, but damn could that boy eat. "We've been lucky as all hell, his timing to leave the nest couldn't have been better." A shrug lifts her shoulders as she's pulled back to facing Rick. Her gaze softened at his words, as that thought hadn't crossed her mind. She'd been too preoccupied with the fair and Rick's trip to send Carl off, and the newcomers to even acknowledge that they had the house to themselves...and would, for the foreseeable future. The thought, for some reason made her excited, and a little uneasy. When had it ever been just the two of them? Lightly laughing into his kiss, she pulled back,

"You can't be that oblivious, Rick. Carl hasn't thought of cooties in a long time." She remembered back at the prison when she used to watch the kids, and Carl and Sophia would be holding hands. Maybe she'd let him have his little delusion, but who knew, when they saw him in two months for the fair ( maybe sooner, she wasn't sure if Rick would even be able to last two weeks without correspondence ) he'd probably even have a girlfriend. Moving to kiss him again, she shrugged, "Magna and I were just finishing some harvesting when you got in, so we could make some sandwiches, or a salad-- I," she paused for a second, head dipping down, "I had gone to the mess hall last night to eat, and actually forgot you and Carl weren't home so there's a big pot of chili Aaron cooked up. We could have that."

Sitting at one of the tables in the mess hall, she pulls free her Glock, placing it on the table in front of her. Passing the time in the prison often came down to her cleaning her weapons and checking if everyone had what they needed. However, just as she ejects the magazine, she sees a new face come into the hall. It has been a priority of Rick's to welcome new people into the prison, not that Andrea herself liked it all that much. She thought it was careless, that they didn't need any more blood on their hands. Still, she'll examine the boy as he shuffles in. She briefly wonders if they found him alone. Lips quirk to the side as she stands, holstering her gun.

"Who brought you in?" Her voice is rough, but she doesn't mean to come hard at the kid. He couldn't have been older than eighteen...probably older, more like her sister Amy. Readjusting her features with a kind gaze, she tilts her head and asks, "What's your name?"

Always the confidence he needed, nodding his head at all the appropriate times. It was true, they had all the time they needed, with as many men on deck as they needed, as well. Especially with Magna and the rest of the newcomers; more people, the quicker they’ll get this set up. Besides, having it here seems —— n o r m a l to the man. This was his home now, this was where they all originated from, before this new world came together by his doing.  It only made s e n s e for it to be here like originally planned.           “You’re right —- you always are.” Nothing like a little premarital ass-kissing, figuring it wouldn’t hurt to test the ball-and-chain waters again after four years of —- simply not having it, after it being… ruined. Cut off, like his hand.           “I think Maggie just wants the credit for it being at h e r place and not o u r s.” Rick said, out of comedic jest.

A prideful grin tugged at her lips, amber eyes sparking with admiration as she leaned forward to kiss his cheek. Sometimes words weren't necessary between them, she'd grown to read Rick Grimes even when he didn't want to be read. Even if he was the leader of this new and brave new world, she was still the same small-town sheriff from Kentucky who sometimes doubted himself too much. She always put him straight, assuring him that his choices-- however benign or hard, were the product of him being a good leader. Still, an eyebrow rose at his allegation, sceptical of his humor.

"Please, Maggie has enough on her plate and no matter what she thinks, this was her place too at a time. But even still, we'll just have to make this the best fair just to show her we don't need a damn hill."  Patting his chest, she moved to turn away, blonde hair free from it's usual pony-tail swinging against her shoulders. "Now come on, I'll fix us up some lunch. Now that we don't have that human garbage disposal of a son of your's here, we might be able to have leftovers."
