I’d like to take a moment to reflect on one of this countries finest and purest moments.

Trump can spread descrimination and he can even overturn the legalization of equal marriage but he CANNOT wipe our victory from the slate or void all that we stand for.

History will remember. We will remember. Love will always trump hate. United we stand.

GQ Magazine: When you look back on your long tenure on The Walking Dead, what makes you proudest?

Steven Yeun: Honestly, the privilege that I had to play an Asian-American character that didn’t have to apologize at all for being Asian, or even acknowledge that he was Asian. Obviously, you’re going to address it. It’s real. It’s a thing. I am Asian, and Glenn is Asian. But I was very honored to be able to play somebody that showed multiple sides, and showed depth, and showed a way to relate to everyone. It was quite an honor, in that regard. This didn’t exist when I was a kid. I didn’t get to see Glenn. I didn’t get to see a fully formed Asian-American person on my television, where you could say, “That dude just belongs here.” Kids, growing up now, can see this show and see a face that they recognize. And go, “Oh my god. That’s my face too.”

What I mean when I say “I can’t do that”- Anxiety Version:

What people hear:

Proper response to someone saying “I can’t do that” because of anxiety:

these responses are literally SO important when you have anxiety

Sometimes things are really scary and if someone has confided in you that they can’t do something because of their anxiety, you should treat it as best you can

anything that goes along the lines of “I would like to help in any way I can” and away from “You are being a baby” is pretty great.

My boyfriend was too anxious to check the status of his loans, when they would be due, and how to pay them back. All I had to do was help him find the phone numbers/sites he needed and narrow down/lay out what he needed to do to find the information and negotiate loan payment schedules. Since then, he’s gotten so much better at doing these payment and financial things. It’ls not babying to help someone with anxiety get started on these things. It may be what they need to understand and become familiar enough with a process to reduce their anxiety.
