Cherry blossom festival was this weekend and I was dumb enough to go (I’m talking about the insane crowds not the actual festival) but it got me in the mood to draw some tween Aperipan  The idea for this pic is that Alfred is rich western immigrant whose family is opening up some chain business in the Japan and knows very little Japaneses. Which leads him to badger his neighbor Kiku (also rich) to teach him the language and culture of the land because Kiku  has a western mother and knows English. The idea was to draw this pic in the Meiji era but I forgot to give Alfred the right hair. And I don’t know if I gave each boy the right clothes i just thought they looked cute in them.
