LISTEN normally I don’t bother acknowledging the wrong opinions of lesser fuckwads who hate joy and light and love, because I ALREADY DON’T HAVE TIME FOR ALL THE THINGS I NEED TO GET EXCITED ABOUT without also distracting myself with the nonsense being spewed out by wannabe-sentient heaps of garbage, BUT WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A CRITICAL MOMENT IN HISTORY RIGHT NOW, AND IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT THAT I SEE AND HEAR LIAM COVERING THE YOU & I HIGH NOTE FOR ZAYN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, which means I am actually searching Twitter for once and being exposed to BITTER SLUDGE about how hopefully they didn’t just give all of Zayn’s parts to Liam, AS THOUGH LIAM’S STATUS AS “BAND MEMBER BEST SUITED TO TAKE ON AN EXTRA FIFTH OF THE VOCALS ON ZERO NOTICE AND NOT EVEN BE PHASED BY IT” IS NOT A FUCKING GIFT FROM THE UNIVERSE TO EVERY LAST ONE OF US?
I’ve said it before, I’m saying it again: Liam is that kid in your school play who sits backstage and follows along in the script during all the scenes he’s not in. When shit happens, Liam is ready to do whatever he can to fix it. When one of them isn’t feeling well or when they’re losing their voice, they can make the best decision FOR THEIR OWN HEALTH without worrying too much about the trouble they’re causing the others, because they know Liam’s ready to step in if they need him. The reason he does the vast majority of the work when they need to scramble and cover for someone else is pretty clear: NO ONE ELSE CAN DO IT LIKE HE CAN DO IT. Liam’s ability and willingness to step up in situations like this is VITAL and WONDERFUL and one of the billion and forty things he does for the boys and for the fans, AND ANYONE WHO DOESN’T APPRECIATE THAT IS WELCOME TO THEIR LIFETIME OF SELF-INFLICTED MISERY, I’LL BE OVER HERE WEEPING ABOUT HOW GREAT LIAM IS.
