Fic master post

Here's a little master post of all (most of) my existing fic. I'm writing again so I'll update with new ones as I go along :)

On Ao3:

-Long fic:

Words: 16,161 (5 chapters)

Case fic, set early S11 (but written before S11 came out so canon divergence).

Winter has come early bringing with it the biting chill of the years first frost, there is the hum of electricity in the air and people are going missing. Sam dreams of Jess and faces in the ice. When a young woman named Liz disappears Sam is certain there’s more to the case than first appears. Meanwhile Dean is drawn in by tales of people vanishing on the shores of Coldwater lake, strange wordless songs and a woman standing out on the frozen water. It will take all of Sam’s cleverness, bravery, and perhaps just a smidgen of psychic ability, for him to be able to piece together the cases and bring a lost soul to rest.

-One shots:

Words: 1818

Soulless Sam, s6

Soulless Sam tries to figure out why he still has the Samulet.

Words: 2425

Sam/Piper (from 11 x 4 Baby), angst, later seasons Sam's complicated relationship with sex.

He hadn’t come here for this, and if he’s being honest with himself he usually would have smiled politely, said “another time” and then vanished off into the night. Certainly, he never would have initiated. He thinks again about the scent of her perfume, god she’d smelt good. Maybe . . . maybe he needs this. Something . . . uncomplicated. ‘You gotta learn to have fun. Seriously, it's pathetic’. His fingers grip the edge of the table again. Making sure.

"I'm Sam"

i do think id look good as fuck after receiving an obviously lethal blow. like i feel id do a great job looking down at my body to see a gaping hole in it, making eye contact with you, saying “oh” very quietly before i keel over… stuff like that

anyway. i think transgirl sam would be insecure in her teens but get more confident in stanford, when meeting all kinds of different people. starts hrt 2nd to 4th year in stanford, probably after getting to know some othe gay people. because this way she can introduce herself in law school as Sam Winchester, Female, without much troubles. (cause like. if jared had gone on hrt around 18-22 he'd "pass" relatively quickly very well. maybe sam even took blockers in her teens, depending when she found out, and how accepting dean/john wouldve been. i can see too many options to decide on a single one. i think even if she didnt "pass" that well, not much would be different except for more insecurity/a longer process to accept herself but her still trying not to show that insecurity and be herself.). i think she'd keep it private mostly, but talk about being trans with close friends, love/sexual interests and other lgbt people. also in later seasons. i can see her opening up about it to witnesses/victims going through similar things. usual sam-style.

season 1 sam wouldnt repress herself again/pretend to be a man when she starts hunting with dean again (also maybe dean knew before stanford already depending what scenario im going with) so her womanhood is made clear in the beginning and stays that way (except for normal insecurity episodes). the only time i think she might stop hrt is in post-s3 but simply out of practicality when she needs to beef up (and bc she got different things on her mind rn) bc of lilith but then with the demon blood realizes that nothing would really lessen her strength at all.

dont think she would dress either masculine nor feminine. sometimes both, sometimes neither. just neutral, like other female hunters (mary, eileen, that one cousin). stanford era i like to think of her style kinda like shannyn sossamon in the rules of attraction (2002)

helloo what are your top 3 season finales in terms of personal enjoyment and then in terms of which ones you think are "the best"

Ohhh good question! <3 SO these are gonna be the same answers for both parts, but in a slightly different order. I am counting AHBL as one episode in the first part and two in the second lol (I'll justify this below)

Enjoyment: 1) The Man Who Knew Too Much

2) All Hell Breaks Loose

3) Sacrifice

"The best": 1) All Hell Breaks Loose Pt1

2) The Man Who Knew Too Much

3) Sacrifice

4) All Hell Breaks Loose Pt2

I know once I break AHBL into each individual episode it technically means I'm no longer talking about the finale for Pt1 buuuuut I'm doing it anyways. Because in my opinion there is a fairly large quality gulf between the two Part 1 is *chefs kiss* almost perfect - Part 2 is carried by the emotional weight of Sam's death and ressurection and by Jensen's acting in the first half - but unfortunately once we get past Sam's ressurection there are just TOO MANY moving parts to the whole thing and it starts to feel really clunky. When watching Pt1 & 2 as a whole its fine and still hits that enjoyability score, but I don't think its fair to say that Pt2 is anywhere near as strong of an episode *overall*. The Man Who Knew Too Much is just like tailor-made as an episode for max Vic enjoyment - we're inside Sam's brain (my favourite place on earth) we have Soulless Sam, how Soulless views soulled Sam, compartmentalisation in action, Sam being the bravest and the strongest <3 - I LOVE it. I do think that AHBL juuuust edges it out in terms of quality though - hard to beat S2 ya know. Sacrifice suffers from the Sam issue as all later seasons finales of needing to spend time on the b-plot (Cas/Angels) stuff that is just never as strong as the core of the episode (Sam <3). Anyways mostly I say Sera Gamble Supremecy lol <3
