German luthier Jens Ritter wanted to create a Jazz guitar that was able to cover classic Jazz tones, yet achieved this while being a solid body guitar. This is the remarkable instrument he came up with. I present to you The Princess Isabella Blue Dragon.

Since 2011, Japanese artist Tatsuya Tanaka has been engaged in his “Miniature Calendar” — a project which has seen the art director create a pocket-sized scene of everyday life, on a daily basis. What initially started as a means of photographing his collection of diorama dolls amongst familiar settings constructed to scale, has now unfolded into a long-term venture… one that he’s not likely to stop anytime soon. Find more about the artist on the full interview on Designboom.

What they don't mention about #growingupwithstrictparents:

- The resentment that begins to build up and damage your relationship with your parents because your missing out on being a kid.

- The self destructive tendencies that develop when you get your freedom.

- Extreme Behaviour that can be dangerous because you feel as if you have to catch up on all the life you have been missing.

- A constant sadness that your never going to live life enough.

- Developing anxiety over doing things as simple as riding the bus.

- Massive issues with authority.

- Fear of commitment because you feel as though it is going to tie you down and take away from your freedom again.

etc…

‘ - Fear of commitment because you feel as though it is going to tie you down and take away from your freedom again. ‘ This is is me in a nutshell

All of this.

Feeling like you’re useless when you’re not doing something productive.

  • never being able to stand up for yourself, because of your inherent fear you will be severely punished - even if you are in the right
  • feeling you are never right, even if you are
  • caving easily to abusive situations, because you grew up learning how to be controlled, that it was “wrong” to exercise power, that it was “wrong” to defend yourself, and not knowing anything about self-respect or having self-esteem
  • second-guessing yourself nonstop
  • hiding your entire life from your strict family - even if it means they go to their deathbeds not knowing what has happened to you, because it will just mean you earn only their disapproval or disgust.
  • non-stop self-hate
  • non-stop paranoia

-feeling like you have to “prove” yourself

-never feeling good enough

-developing insecurities that eventually grow but stay hidden because you’ve been told that maybe asking a question a few times extra just to be sure everything’s ok is “weird”

-being afraid to make friendships, reach out, or go out because your afraid of doing something wrong

-always being afraid that someone is mad at you

-getting criticized for years on end then getting questioned on all sides as to why you’re so negative about yourself

I’m glad I’ve been outgrowing a lot of this, and moving out worked to be a good thing between me and my parents.

To all of my friends, this is the reason why I do the things I do

I don’t always relate so heavily to these kinds of things but damn if I don’t feel 99% of these

Or as in my case, having to constantly defend yourself and fight back against neverending emotional abuse —-> finding it difficult in adulthood to hold yourself accountable for things you actually did fuck up AND always having to fight back a hair trigger zero-to-sixty attack reaction in a confrontation or conflict.

Save Our Kids (8/8/15): Christian Taylor, a 19-year old college football player was gunned down by police early Friday morning in Arlington, TX. Christian crashed his vehicle into a car dealership. Police claim he was trying to rob it. How and why a kid with his own new car and a promising college career, would try to single-handedly rob a car showroom by crashing into it, I couldn’t tell you (reeks of bullshit/this ain’t Fast & Furious). He was unarmed. Police will always prioritize property over our lives. Don’t be shocked if/when video gets released later contradicting the killer cop’s story though.

So, I can’t fuck with Texas on any kind of level. This is a war.

Lenny Kravitz accidentally rips his pants, leaving his penis literally hanging out in front of a live audience, and he’s all but praised for it (not that I’m complaining). Janet Jackson gets her top ripped off and is banned from the Superbowl for life, banned from the Grammys that year, banned from the radio that year, her videos are blacklisted on MTV, she’s forced to issue a public apology, and some of y'all STILL think she planned it…

Two viral photos from this weekend destroy the myth of ‘post-racial’ America: On left: a Cleveland cop pulls a gun on two unarmed black women after a minor traffic accident. On right: a white man at a Confederate rally grabs his gun in front of cops and they tell him to calm down. Cleveland cop: http://bit.ly/1M1iw3a pulling gun on cop: http://bit.ly/1JIioFy

Capitalism

Can we just talk about how if you make any less than $18 an hour it's not likely you're really able to thrive on your own. In fact, you're a modern day sharecropper. You get paid, then the government takes a chunk out of your wages for God knows what. Then makes you pay for education, housing, food, and water. Lovely. Oh and then shames you for being poor and will crucify you for taking advantage of the Welfare system.
