A nod. The man is… odd. That’s the least of it, he’ll guess. “So you’ve seen… all of that? How far does it go back? Of course I bet you know all about Sonic, since he’s always been super important, but…”
He can’t help but be a little curious – “I mean, I know there are also other ‘me’s, so it’s not entirely illogical that someone could see the things I’ve done through another dimension… although, it’s definitely really strange.”
Tails says that last bit with a distant yet serious expression.
“I had powers taken from me, too. I can’t fly anymore. So you can’t see – other dimensions anymore?” He looks back to the other.
*:・ﾟ✧* ♥ : Mephisto sits idly by as Tails makes his deductions, nodding with mhms every now and again as he makes correct remarks. He offhandedly wonders if he remembers the synopses of all of the Sonic games, and laughs to himself when he realizes no, of course not. He can’t really even remember the last time he even played one. Was it Mania or Forces last?

It’s rather lucky that Spirale’s moon nourishes in much the same way as it did in other worlds. If this place was so different that it didn’t – well, the god doesn’t really want to think about that.
Gwyndolin normally expects there to be no one around in the grove this late, although it isn’t the first time he’s seen others about. But it’s always nice to enjoy the moon’s blessed presence with company, so it’s always a pleasant surprise. Anyone who enjoys the quiet air and lunar light must be a fine companion for such a thing, right?
“Oh my, what a serene poem thou recitest. And dedicated to me, as well? ‘Tis a shame I had not yet heard it until now.”
*:・ﾟ✧* ♥ : He knew he wasn’t alone. There was no way -- the city was far too populated, and even at this hour was there bound to be at least one person in every area. That is why he spoke in the first place, after all, though he did not expect the individual he had spoken to to be so lovely. My goodness this place was just chock - full of gorgeous people, wasn’t it? Even without his powers, this was turning out to be not the worst thing.

*:・ﾟ✧* ♥ : It was a little weird living with roommates. He’d never had to before -- sure, people lived in his house, but he wouldn’t really consider his butler a roommate. Now though? Mephisto had admittedly been staying away from his assigned home, but no. Now he’s gotten the money to buy what he wants to decorate his room ( even if he’s planning on getting his own place, he still wants a cozy room! who wouldn’t? ) and is doing so with zeal, blasting what?

Though being brought to Spirale has dampened his opinion of the moon, he still cannot help but enjoy the evening along with the milky glow she casts over it. Lo : he strolls through the bamboo grove in the peak of the moonlight, late in the evening, when few else are there, reciting Lady Mary Wortley Montagu’s A Hymn to the Moon seemingly to himself.

𝓗er ears perked at the word ‘dessert.’ He couldn’t be that crazy right? What was wrong with a little dessert in the company of a, uh, perfectly sane man? You could totally tell by that completely normal outfit.

Due to long hours at the courthouse, (there has to be something he can do about this city’s legal system), Phoenix doesn’t spend a lot of time at home. In fact, he’s even spent nights at the office, sleeping on the couch. Such are the trials and tribulations of the courthouse’s lead defender.
For once he has some time to spend at home, and he intends to make the most of it. He notes the smell before he walks into the kitchen; is someone cooking?
“Oh, hello!” He isn’t well acquainted with his roommates yet, even though he’s been here for some time. There’s no time like the present to introduce himself, right?
“I just came out to grab a drink, I hope I’m not interrupting anything.” He moves to the fridge, glancing to what the stranger is doing. “I’ve been meaning to introduce myself; I’m Phoenix Wright. I live here… you know, when I’m not at the office. It’s nice to meet you!”
*:・ﾟ✧* ♥ : Two minutes ... Flip. Thirty seconds ... Done! And another pale green crepe is added to a pile of quite a few of them already. Samael is frying the last pancake up when Phoenix introduces himself, and he smiles ( as much as he can ) over his shoulder to greet him.
❝ Ah, Mr. Wright. No, by all means -- if you even have a moment, please, sit. The cake will have to rest a couple hours before we can enjoy it, but I always make too much whipped cream. ❞
As soon as the final crepe is done, he clicks off the stove and pulls out a bowl of already hand - whipped cream. He speaks again when he’s settled in spreading a layer of whipped cream on each crepe, stacking and spreading them one by one with a careful hand ( so as not to rip the crepes! ) and a deliberate patience.
❝ I am the less new of your new roommates. You may call me Mephisto Pheles -- tell me, do you like matcha? I hope so, I’m making a matcha mille crepe cake. ❞
