EYYYYY!! C2E2 Party Goers!  I’ll be attending SonicboomBox’s After Party this Saturday with  my cosplaying besties Bunny B Quinzel and psiioniicsongwaves ! <3 They’ll be in fun casual Overwatch cosplay while I’ll most likely be in a casual outfit as Keith Kogane ~ This weekend will be a blast and  if you’re going to C2E2 remember to have fun, stay safe and hydrate and eat! <3

I think the best argument for jakes feelings for dirk is brain ghost dirk because after everything theyve been through with their breakup and everything else about brain ghost dirk being fairly accurate to jakes personal fears and other things about whats currently going on with dirk he calls jake his boyfriend which is essentially what jake still wants after everything it shows that thought their relationship was messy they have a possible future and i love that

Yep, pretty much. People don’t seem to pick up on it but, like, yes Jake is abused! Jake is abused by Hal (who Brain Ghost Dirk reflects much more than he reflects Dirk himself as Jake…literally says), by Jane, by Aranea…He just isn’t abused by DIRK, and when the chips come down Dirk is literally presented as Jake’s ANSWER to all this abuse. Dirk makes Jake feel safe, ergo, when Dirk is around Jake doesn’t feel as threated, which is why them being together is directly correlated with Jake comfortably doing sexy ads and shit on Earth C (at the age of 19 at the earliest which some people also seem to have missed.)

Homestuck DID deal with Jake’s abuse, it just dealt with it in a way that didn’t fit people’s preconceived narrative. You can argue about the nature of the execution (I know a lot of my friends would’ve wanted that laid out with more dialogue, and I can’t help but agree at times) but the symbol language is pretty clear: Jake’s discomfort is a problem for him when he can’t rely on Dirk to fix it. Jake does not consider Dirk one of his aggressors. Jake loves his boyfriend who he wants to call him his boyfriend.

So I slapped some mathematics on this picture and…

The red lines divide the picture into thirds. They also mostly coincide with the doorway (and Cruz’s right hand), framing him nicely as the Main Character of this picture.

The green line was placed using the golden ratio (the ratio between parts of the picture above it and below it is close enough to 1:1.618). It also goes right under his chin (and through some reporters’ hands or tools).

The purple lines are diagonals that are framing the reporters really nicely.

I’m pretty sure you could also do something clever with a circle and the yellow doorway behind him, but I don’t have the patience to fiddle with that.

Basically, this picture has the same “maths are beautiful” aesthetic as (some well-known) Renaissance paintings.

An open threshold, such as a door or window, behind the characters of a painting was a motif used by artists to suggest piety and holiness in people without being blasphemous. Typically contrasted with the surrounding background, the “halo” was a subtle way of suggesting the persons depicted, often the customer who commissioned the piece, was in good standing with God and the Church.

Things you should think about: 

  • After the entire fiasco with Zarkon and help smoothing out issues around the universe, the crew returns for a break back on Earth. Everyone goes back to spend quality time with their families, but Shiro and Keith head back to the shack 
  • They fix it up and personalize the shack with the knick knacks they’ve picked up throughout their travels
  • They’ll get postcards, selfies, and letters from the crew so they post it up around the house
  • Keith showing Shiro all of the cool places he’s found when he was researching about the ~mysterious~ lion
  • Shiro and Keith enjoying their quiet time at the shack 
  • lots of cuddling
  • no pain
  • whatsoever
  • its just domestic and relaxing 
  • and travelling with the crew to places around the world for fun and then going back into space whenever they’re needed
