She swallowed past a lump in her throat, looked up into her son’s eyes. "Paul…I want you to do something for me: choose the course of happiness. Your desert woman, marry her if that’s your wish. Defy everyone and everything to do this. But choose your own course. I…."

"You're praying now to your grandmother. She died nine moons ago. She lost an eye. A rock smashed her face as she was crossing the Belt. She was twelve when it happened. At that time, this world had a Fremen name. Dune."

DC's All Star imprint only produced two titles and they are both at complete opposite ends of the quality spectrum. All Star Superman is an unmitigated masterpiece, one of the most beloved comics ever produced. All Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder is an unmitigated disaster that was never finished and the published is now too embarrassed it admit it even existed.

I'm actually kinda confused on why Clara is confused abt the Doctor regenerating???

Because she's been in his timestream, she knows he regenerates, she knows how he works, and then she's,,, upset??? That he regenerated???

Even weirder, she says she's never been interested in pretty young men, so is it just that she's shocked, orrr

Am confusion, ma'am, make it make sense

Clara's memories of being in the timestream are hazy at best, and she doesn't know the ins and outs of how exactly regeneration works. She clearly thought it would rejuvenate the Doctor and make them young again so she doesn't understand why the new Doctor is so much older than the last. She knew the Doctor could change, but had no idea how wild and erratic that entire process could be and it left her bewildered and no doubt wishing things could go back to the way they were.

Why did this man not prepare her

That's my next question

{btw thank you for explaining}

The Doctor's never really prepared anyone for regeneration, but also at the time they thought they couldn't and were fully expecting to die for good. They did send that reassuring telephone call, though. Which is a lot more than most companions get.
