PSA

Vaginal Yeast Infections are completely normal to get (75% of women get them at least once in their lives)!

but if they occur often, contact your doctor

I feel like I need to add to this that I just spent an hour comforting a friend of mine whose boyfriend (now ex) had told her she was “so disgusting” for getting a yeast infection. This needs to be taught in school and in public - THEY ARE NORMAL AND DO NOT MAKE YOU DISGUSTING.

Okay guys!

I need to create a bit of a bigger design-portfolio, so please send your best company name-ideas (fiction of course) and a short description of the company (and maybe specific color/style if that’s something you’re thinking of) or others that need a logo or a business card and I will design a logo and business card template based on the name and description of the company!

If any of you guys HAVE a company that you’d like either of those things designed for, please don’t hesitate to add that too and I’ll design for free for you to add it to my portfolio 🥰🥰

Me, before discovering fanfiction: how can people possibly read a story about the same two people... falling in love... over and over again?
Me, now: *reads all the soulmate aus on AO3 in a row*

My boyfriend didn’t go to university until he was 28 because he didn’t feel anywhere near ready when he was 18. He graduated with first-class honours, went on to do a Masters, and is now a history teacher. It’s so much more important to do things when you’re able to fully commit to them and do them to the best of your ability than to rush to do them by an imaginary deadline.

this is very comforting

Just wanted to add that I took a “leap year” for 4 years before finally feeling ready to go back to get a degree because I didn’t want to waste my time doing a degree I wasn’t even sure I wanted because society told me I should. I started studying marketing at 23 and will graduate this year at 27 years old. I was not “too old” to go to university, there is no such thing! Go when you’re ready, live your life your own damn way and stop stressing about imaginary deadlines <3

The thing about Sjm’s books is that they affect you in ways you may not notice at first.

I read Throne of Glass a couple of weeks ago, and when Celaena kept telling herself “I will not be afraid”, I thought oh whatever get on with it.

But just now I had to talk to someone that scares the shit out of me, and I found myself thinking “I am tired of being scared. I will not be afraid.” And I remembered how Celaena got over her fear and accomplished so many things, and it helped. I went and talked to that person, and I got what I wanted.

And a while back, I was having a hard time getting over a past trauma of mine that somehow just came back to the surface, and reading about Feyre’s struggle in ACOMAF helped a lot. “Only you can decide what breaks you” is one of my favorite quotes ever.

So thank you, Sarah J Maas, for creating such inspirational and real female protagonists.

“I fell in love with you, smartass, because you were one of us—because you weren’t afraid of me, and you decided to end your spectacular victory by throwing that piece of bone at Amarantha like a javelin. I felt Cassian’s spirit beside me in that moment, and could have sworn I heard him say, ‘If you don’t marry her, you stupid prick, I will.” ― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Mist and Fury
