🔷🔶 THON is today! 🔶🔷 These are the annual totals raised during my four years at @pennstate - and it still awes me that last year's total was more than DOUBLE the total my freshman year. more than 96% of the money raised each year goes directly to The Four Diamonds Fund, which pays directly to fully fund the care, treatment and other financial burdens faced by Hershey Med Center pediatric cancer patients and their families, where insurance falls short. any leftover goes toward research, to one day end pediatric cancer for good. this weekend is the culmination, with a 46-hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon, aka giant dance party in the BJC, where the Four Diamonds families can come and let PSU students shoulder their burdens so they can relax and enjoy a weekend full of music, fun, and especially love. Birb have VERY LARGE EYE in skull. Very good for seeing! But not space for muscle, birb cannot move eye. For mammal to make steady image, keep focus on single thing, always moving eye! Tiny movements, sometimes not even know. But birb cannot make tiny movements! So, birb must move whole head. And that is why the birb can keep steady the head when the body is amovering!
