If you aren't paying attention to the RESTRICT act because it is being Trojan Horsed as the "Tik Tok Ban" I urge you to go look it up right now. The bill itself has NOTHING to do with TikTok. It is a horrible bill that massively impacts freedom of speech, access to information, and the open internet. Even major Republicans are calling it out as too broad and ill conceived.

I just started in and there’s like 3 ‘books’ but the author posted a master list that had it in chronological order. It was din djarin x reader where is was post season 2 he had the darksaber and grogu. His heart stopped beating cause he was like the one true mandalor. And it didn’t/doesn’t start till he basically meets the one. The darksaber kinda talked to him and the last thing I remember reading was that the reader was a servant for a senators mother and got fired and din is basically talking to him for some diplomatic reason but the sword keeps saying to kill him.
It was really good and I want to finish it but can’t figure out what it was called.

As someone who’s written dialogue for Scoob and been paid for it… I endorse this take. :)
I get that the man who defends himself in court has a fool for a client but y’know it’s kind of fucked up that this process of defending your rights is so professionalized that laymen cannot possibly hope to do it themselves.

I would update this to include “conservatives are anti-any-person-with-a-vagina,” but otherwise, the message still stands.
If the police were afraid of being falsely accused of brutality, they'd be actively demanding to be filmed at all times. But they don't.
If the police didn't want to be seen as a gang, they'd be demanding the repeal of all laws against victimless actions so their only focus would be on violent criminals. But they don't.
If the police feared for their lives in every encounter with civilians, they'd do everything they could to reduce the number of encounters. For example, they'd demand the repeal of quotas, and they'd feel relieved when social workers want to take over some of those encounters. But they don't.
If the police didn't want to be judged as a group when one of them does something bad, they'd be actively and openly condemning the bad police officers and making sure everyone witnesses that. But they don't.
It's almost as if everything the police say is a lie.

before i had gotten close with ex-catholics i was under the assumption that "catholic guilt" was mostly about sex, or serious topics.
but i was naïve. it's apparently about every positive experience. enjoying a meal? you're so lucky, children are starving. spending your day off cosy in bed? wow, so selfish, homeless people are freezing to death.
every former or present catholic i've met has a very obvious anxiety disorder and it's so painfully not a coincidence.

Since we were seven we had to confess out sins once a month to a priest and if we didn’t have any sins to confess we had to pray more because we were obviously lying and unwilling to confess our guilt.
One time at the local corner store I took a bag of chips and the shop owner didn’t check it out with the other things and I was in tears when I realized I was stealing. I screamed at my dad to tell the employee what happened and it was all fine and sorted out but that wasn’t enough to me so I then told my priest and he told me to pray a lot and put money in the church donation box to make up for the theft.
I remember that everytime I had to confess I just had a prepared formula, bc there’s no way I’m telling some random old guy what I do. And those were some dumb things like, being lazy, swearing or arguing with parents. And yet, almost everytime I came out crying, bc he made me feel so bad for those things. Normal. Human. Things.
I also remember reading a book about the “dark side of christianity” and at some point in history, the church decided that dancing, holidays and generally being happy is a sin. So they forbid it????? Yeah, sure I’m just gonna live my life being miserable, if that’s what the sky daddy wants.
I was told in Catholic school as a youth that being angry at my sister was a sin. Being angry. A sin. Catholic guilt is super real
