i hope this whole andrew tate situation will lead to more than just memes, but an actual discussion on sex tourism and the way western men move to poorer nonwestern countries, both because women and girls are more desperate and vulnerable & because our governments are much more shit abt doing anything at all abt sex crimes/the government and police themselves are often involved in sex trafficking, and because of the aspect of fetishizing and degrading eastern women (which western euro men are doing in their damn brothels to our women & girls as well). i hope it will lead to an awareness that he is faaar from the only western man to move to romania and the balkans for this, that this shit happens regularly to our women and girls here, that he's far from the only western man to move to a poorer nonwestern country to rape and traffick and enslave women and chileren. i hope maybe just maybe this will mean a bit more than just memes, and may show in the liberal sex work brainrot internet culture the darker underbelly of pornography and prostitution. our pain and suffering and exploitation isnt just a meme. i hope, at least.

A GVM Wen Kexing appreciation post! I blame ZZS for the lack of balance in my work. The bias is barely there, but sufficient enough that even I myself suffer from the lack of attention I give WKX. While I do love all sides of him, I have to say that in the context of illustrating him, his GVM persona is especially endearing. I have a bunch of illustrations of him that rely more heavily on context and storytelling, which I will publish later as separate works since I'd like to include more meta on them. Here, a few lines are enough per illustration.

The first one is [spoiler alert] from TYK extra 4, when WKX destroys the key before the events of the book even start. The second is showcasing the contrast between his GVM and Wife Wen persona. The fourth one is a first attempt at designing WKX's GV back tattoo (more on that in an upcoming post). Overall, those are just there to study and appreciate WKX's expressivity and aura as the GVM. I really like drawing him to be really pretty, almost like a statue.

people have totally lost the plot and need to learn how to behave before they should be allowed to access media again. harassing an 18 year old actor into coming out as bi because you are accusing him of queerbaiting (not a thing that a real life person can do with themselves), demanding that all LGBTQ+ characters match the identity of their actors opens us up to huge problems wrt labour discrimination, and oh look the people harassing the kid into coming out are still harassing him because he said he’s bi so that means he’s faking it. all this over a teen romcom on netflix… stop! stop it!!!
