Hess!! do you have any advice on drawing hair? it's my nightmare and yours always looks so natural

I really hope this is helpful 🫠 hair is tricky for me to give tips on bc I just kind of do whatever - it looks natural but that’s by virtue of making just enough sense to trick your eye - I’d say I p often forgo realism in favour of whatever looks nice imo; if you look closely at the hair I draw not every section makes sense haha

as w all these tips it boils down to training your eye to find the simple shapes, keeping in mind weight/mass and directionality of those individual shapes and then deciding on which details to add to convey your vision (which you do by experimenting basically - the age old truth is…the more you do it the more automatic it becomes 💃)
