with all that stuff about Eggsy's athletic background it is honestly a travesty that we didn't get Mr Junior Gymnastics Gold Medalist over here doing one of those laser beam dance scenes à la Ocean's Twelve lmao (or maybe i should say Entrapment)

The other day, someone on Twitter posted this Argylle clip and were shitting on it. Anyway, I remember thinking at the theatre that Neon from RWBY would probably work really well with this scene.

Aidan and Elly/Rachel from Argylle

Some thoughts Getting back into drawing portraits is haaard. I wanted to get his facial expression just right and insofar I'm pleased with how it turned out. Now that it's finished, all I see is how much I struggled with it. This will get easier with more practice. Please be gentle. I'm putting this out here for the people who enjoyed this film as much as me.

Dance & Wine

It was just before midnight when Elly poured herself a glass of wine and put on her favourite song, Now And Then by The Beatles. She listened to the song really often, it always soothed her in some way and also made her feel very nostalgic, though she didn't understand why.

Walking past a sleeping Alfie, she stroked him and smiled as he rolled onto his other side and slept contentedly on. She reached the step that was between the study and the kitchen and sat down, stretching her legs and taking a sip from her glass of wine, listening to the song that was playing. She didn't really know why, but she felt sad most of the day today and couldn't explain why.

She had no idea that there were several cameras in her house that had constant access to her privacy. But now, at this moment, there was only one person watching her. It was Aidan, who, thanks to Division's connection to the camera system, was also able to hack into it. He didn't like that Elly could be watched every day, but on the other hand, that way he could also keep an eye on her if needed.

Today was different though, he wasn't watching her because she was in danger, he was watching her so he could at least be with her like this, from a distance. He missed her. He missed her every day he couldn't be with her. Today, today was the day that could be called their anniversary.

And this song was theirs. The first time they danced together, in a seedy bar, it played from an old jukebox. It was as if the lyrics sort of foretold their future.

elly conway headcanons

  • there are still parts of her former life that haven't come back to her yet, and her current life is a series of fun surprises for her as random memories pop back at random times
  • no longer afraid of flying, she finally agrees to the long-overdue overseas book tour that her agent has been begging for, and keeps discovering new languages she already speaks fluently
  • having been basically celibate for the last few years, elly finds herself bluescreening five or six times a day whenever details of rachel's vigorous and varied sex life pop into her head (aidan is waiting very patiently for the pegging conversation to naturally arise)
  • one day elly brings home a large stray dog who she's seen hanging around the lake for the last couple of weeks. it's hard to tell if she or aidan is more surprised that he's the one to have to point out that maybe this isn't fair to alfie
  • (alfie is fine with it, once he has made it clear to the dog who is boss)
  • every time she finishes a manuscript, she still sends a copy to ruth's email address; although she knows it was never real, it was still pretty nice in a way to have that experience of having normal supportive loving parents
  • occasionally she wakes up in a cold sweat having remembered yet another assassination she successfully carried out. as a form of atonement, she has taken to making large charitable donations (her fans have started to notice, and are organising among themselves to also support the causes that elly supports)
  • now that elly is no longer in a punishing yearly cycle of spending (i'm presuming) 8 months researching a book, 1 month tippy-tapping said book into being, and 3 solid months making a handful of train journeys, she has decided it might be nice to try her hand at mentoring aspiring writers. zoe the superfan is very grateful, but also finds the monthly coffee dates are *really* eating into her writing time
