i can feel you in my blood we shared the sun, but not enough my best friend, such beauty memories like movies 24 candles, i'm feelings sentimental moved to tears with passing regret, dancing like stains on my skin. a blurry year since you've left 3AM dreams i can't forget the moon has been my companion swaying in and out of seasons while my sanity pounds out of my chest in the living room i used to sleep.
veins are branches, roots of sadness. i grew from the compost of your suffering soul.. but the cracks, they're filled with all this gold. falling leaves of kindness like a blanket for the cold. undigging all of these secrets with my filthy fingernails. twelve, thirteen, rings, a year with no light. but so much growth to show in the water i see myself, clearly for the first time. fighting the wind i realize, i am letting go of my resistance, and i begin to move with the nights towards a day with bright intentions.
