I never thought I needed to see a segment of Sailor Moon animated in Bob’s Burger’s style, but now that I have, I couldn’t be happier.

Archie Andrews is dead after 73 years

According to the story, Archie took a bullet for his openly gay friend, Kevin Keller, after an argument erupted over gun restriction laws and same sex marriage laws.

As a long time fan of the series, the fact that this beloved character is dead comes as such a shock. What is even more surprising is how drastic of a measure this company had to make in order to bring these issues to light. Holy crow is Archie Comics trying to make a statement here.

For those of you that could not make it, here are some of the slides from my thesis presentation this Tuesday on the Voyager 1. It was a wonderful experience, a little scary, and there were some Space Jam jokes. Thank you to those who made it and supported me - I can’t wait to begin this journey!

In Episode 74 of GNERD we discuss point of view and how there isn't much POV in regards to Latinos and space and space travel, at least that we see. Molly is doing a thesis where she is tackling important themes on space and brining her unique remix and POV as a Latina to the table. it reminded me of this scene which I love.

"Sci-fi. If it's about going to space, let me tell you something. According to Hollywood, in the future when man gets to space, all the Mexicans are DEAD! All the Mexicans are dead! They cannot conceive this notion! And you know what? How do you fight this level of ignorance? You don't. You don't. But if you're right eventually you override it. And if I don't the next generation will. But you can never fall into the trap of thinking like them or putting too much importance."
