And I was like, "Hey Katie, it's great to see you again," and my cousin says, "Actually, Curtis, I'm older now, I'm accepting myself for who I am. I'm in transition and I prefer to go by male pronouns." And I was like, "You know what, dude? I got you. I love you. I support you no matter what. What name would you like to go by now?" And my cousin said, "I prefer to go by Devonte." Uh, and I feel like that would've been cool except this cousin is white [audience laughs], and... that's too far. [he laughs]

I was like, "Yeah, bro, you're a man, but you're not a Black man." [more laughter] And this dude's name is tearing my family apart. 'Cause even people I was worried about having a- I asked my father. I was like, "Dad, you heard about Devonte?" And my dad said, "I'm not calling him that." [laughter] So now everybody compromised, and they just call him "the boy." [laughter] And we've all- I feel bad because we've all talked about it behind this dude's back, and we've all decided he's more of a Greg. [laughter] We're like, "Yeah, bro, you're trans, but you're not interesting." [laughter]

I know this is suppose to be cringe but I love the absolute friendship in this picture and it cheers me up thinking about what a great time they all have piling into a 1990 VW to go to Taco Bell.
