someone help me out

I have an assignment for sociology and I am trying to answer this question; Investigate the toy industry in Australia and how its advertising impacts families. Toy manufacturers still use gendered colors (e.g. pink for girls blue for boys) to sell toys. How does this gender bias affect boys and girls and their choices; and is this an aspect of social control?
