“Kol?” Freya asked to the seemingly empty space as she finished her resurrection spell.
Kol stepped forward and blinked until his gaze focused on the girl in front of him. “You know my name?”
Lexi bit her lip worried she shouldn’t have said anything. Her other arm moved to rest on his arm and she walked with him quietly. She could understand how he must be feeling…after all, his siblings were basically angry that he was back…none of them had come to welcome him or just wrap their arms around him. That seemed unfair to Lexi.
Kol walked with her silently. He had thought things would be different, that he would be welcomed into the family with open arms but now they were angry that he had been brought back. He couldn't help but think that maybe he was only important to them when he was dying.
Lexi smiled and even once she was steady she didn’t let go of his hand. She really hoped he wouldn’t mind. “Elijah was here before…he…he tried to switch your ashes…” She whispered sadly.
Kol blinked at her in surprise but didn't let go of her hand either. "E-Elijah did?" He glanced at the ground. Maybe he expected that from Nik or even Rebekah but Elijah. Kol shook his head. "Come on, let's get out of here."

Lexi smiled and nodded. “What…what happens now?” She said biting her lip and looking towards the door where Rebekah and Davina could still be heard arguing. “I don’t suppose running away would work…”
Kol laughed and stood up, helping Lexi stand as well. "Running sounds good to me. I don't know what's worse, an angry Rebekah or an angry Davina. Either way I do not want to face either of them after that argument."
"Of course I did. I've seen what you can do, Davina. I trust you." Kol smiled. "Plus, you were able to do it. You brought me back."
“I’m so lucky to have you back…” She whispered, reaching up to touch his cheek. “I thought…I thought I would never see you again…that all was lost…”
"You could never keep me away for that long. I don't stay dead easily." Kol smiled at her fondly.
Lexi’s arms wrapped around Kol’s neck and she felt her heart racing. She had never felt so happy. “I…you’re amazing!” She whispered.
Kol chuckled and pulled her even closer. "You're even more amazing... I'm so lucky to have met you."
Lexi’s eyes widened and she grinned. “Yes…yes I would…I would be honored” she said quietly. “Will you…will you kiss me again?” She asked.
Kol grinned ecstatically and reached up to gently stroke her cheek with his thumb before leaning down again and kissing her.
Lexi smiled at him and sighed in relief “you do?” She asked in disbelief. “But I’m…I’m just…I’m just a simple girl” she whispered.
"I do like you. And I don't care. I like you for you are, Alexis." Kol smiled. "You're amazing, and... and I was wondering if maybe you would want to go out with me on a proper date sometime?"
Lexi nodded and refused to look at him for fear of being rejected. “I…I understand if you don’t feel that way I just,,,I needed to tell you but I shouldn’t have…I’m sorry” she rambled.
Kol gently turned her head and quickly pressed his lips to her gently. The kiss didn't last long and when he pulled away Kol couldn't get the smile of his face. "I like you too, Alexis."
Lexi whimpered. “Don’t die again…please….I…I like you…” She whimpered.
"I won't die again." Kol promised. "You like me? As in more than a friend?" He tried to hold back a smile at the thought.
Kol kept his arms around her even after breaking the kiss. He stared down at her, not saying a word and just relishing in the fact that he was there with her again.
Davina smiled as she looked at him and looked into his eyes as she left her hand go to have cheek and her thumb rub his cheek softly “i missed you.”
"I missed you as well but I knew you would be able to bring me back." Kol smiled softly, never taking his eyes off of her.
Lexi found herself curling into Kol and whimpering. “I’m sorry”
"It's alright, Alexis." Kol whispered, wrapping an arm around her. Davina glared at Rebekah and pulled her out of the room. Yelling could be heard outside but Kol stayed with Lexi.
Lexi looked at Kol desperately and tears started to spill over again. She was so scared and she didn’t know what to do.
"Rebekah, knock it off." Kol said firmly before turning to Lexi. "Hey, Alexis... It's going to be okay. Bekah is just over-dramatic."
Lexi inched closer to Kol instinctively as she shuddered. “We…we only had one chance…” She whimpered.
Kol put his hand on Lexi's comfortingly when he felt her move closer, never once looking away from his sister. "We could have found another way!" Rebekah gasped. "Now we are all in danger!"
