Doctor Puppet is a Doctor Who fan series created by Alisa Stern. Episodes are on YouTube. Links are below! Doctor Puppet is stop motion animation. Everything you see was made by hand so it takes months to produce an episode. Doctor Puppet is made by a team of professional artists and musicians in NYC and England, and is a true labor of love. This blog documents the making of the episodes as well as the travels of the puppets in the real world. We love feedback and GIFs! Make GIFs from our episodes and tag them "doctor puppet." We'll reblog! Thanks!

After more than a year of festivals my animated horror short POSTED NO HUNTING is online! This was a pandemic project inspired by a binge of live animal cams and horror films. @mrottscay and I wrote the script on a whim in 15 minutes. I made the puppets and animated them in my tiny NYC apartment. Scott added his voice, music, and sound from across the pond. and  Enjoy!

And we’re already working on a new film called SPIRAL TO THE CENTER. Learn more about that one here and help us finish it!

I’ve been designing fake 70s album covers for SPIRAL TO THE CENTER, the faux documentary @mrottscay and I have been cooking up over the last few months. It’s been a pretty fun project!

Today is the last day to help fund SPIRAL TO THE CENTER on Indiegogo! We have some cool perks like printable album artwork, script, soundtrack, thank you credit, social media cameo, and of course your chance to see SPIRAL TO THE CENTER before anyone else. This is a scrappy film so a little goes a long way. Even a reblog is a huge help. <3 <3

Rick reviews music on YouTube. He doesn't get a lot of views but that's fine - he just loves music. Everything changes when he reviews an old vinyl record and discovers a strange message hidden in a track. His video review goes viral and Kacy, a documentary filmmaker, begins to follow Rick as he tries to uncover the meaning and origin of the message. They both get more than they bargained for when Rick unearths more records, more messages, and an enigmatic label called Henge, which disappeared in the 1970s, leaving behind only 12 albums and a dark secret.

Spiral to the Center is a fictional investigative documentary with a sci-fi twist. It will include interview segments, archival footage, motion graphics, and found-footage style filmmaking. We plan to shoot Spiral to the Center in Newcastle upon Tyne, England in early 2023, making use of various locations around the city - including record shops! The completed film will be approximately 20 minutes long. We expect to finish it in Spring 2023 then premiere it at a film festival later that year.

At its core, Spiral to the Center is a celebration of music. In particular the psychedelic, prog rock, and electronic music of the 1970s. The film features original tracks by Scott that are entirely authentic to the era. We want you to feel like you’re listening to some forgotten, dusty records you just pulled out of your uncle’s attic. Most of the tracks are already written and many contain hidden messages.

The campaign ends tomorrow! Help us finish SPIRAL TO THE CENTER!

HEY! I’m back! 👋 And I have a new film! It’s a fictional documentary about a YouTuber who finds a hidden message on an old vinyl record that reveals a crazy mystery. It’s full of art from me and music from @mrottscay and we think it’s pretty darn cool! We’re shooting it in England this Winter but first we need your help!
