Though it’s been over a month since the Kyoto Animation fire, I still think a lot about what happened, the talented creators that were lost or injured. I drew this picture of two of my favorite kyoani characters in their honor.

This design is being sold on a number of products in my redbubble shop. All proceeds from these products will be donated direction to kyoto animation and will be used to rebuild and pay for the victim’s medical and funeral costs.

Cool cool so how would you like to be still ruled and unfairly taxed by England? Or be oppressed by the third Reich? Or have fallen to terrorism? The army, the entire military, is in place to defend our inalienable rights and protect us from external threats. I don’t care what political ideology you have, saying “fuck the army” is disrespectful to the individuals who risked their lives for your right to say that. I agree, the system is fucked and some military funding can and should be diverted elsewhere, but that doesn’t mean those brave people who fought, died, and were injured in bloody wars should be the butt of your criticism. In fact, many of them would agree with that sentiment. But a country cannot survive without an army. It can’t survive without it’s navy, it’s Air Force, the marines, the coast guard. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside active duty military and veterans, to see them struggle with PTSD, financial stability, healthcare, etc. They don’t deserve to be slandered by internet nobodies, or even internet somebodies. Respect the troops, even if you don’t agree with the system behind their maintenance.

Also I think it’s really funny that one of the most recent comments on this post is by someone with a Star of David in their icon. Bitch we would be GONE if it weren’t for the military
