Hi friends and happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. Do anything exciting? The family and I spent the long weekend in Galena, IL. If you haven’t been, it is this beautifully quaint little village near the Mississippi river. It’s nestled on the rolling hills on northern Illinois and it has so much history, great dining, and breathtaking hiking trails. The family and I go up there roughly one to two times a year. I have dreams of one day opening a small shop on the main street and living on a small farm on the outskirts of town. Sounds peaceful doesn’t it? A man can dream, can’t he? . . . One of our favorite things to do in Galena is hike in the Palisades State Park, state park with great spots that overlook the river. Unfortunately, it rained for most of the weekend so a leisurely hike as out of the question. We were still able to enjoy these new draft lattes from @lacolombecoffee.
