get lost. take that train. read for hours so time passes faster. talk with strangers. say hello to dogs. walk down streets you’ve never been to before. look up to the sky. go to coffee shops. tell that barista that you think her shirt is cute. take pictures with your polaroid camera. buy post cards. ask random people what their mantra is. go into that hipster looking vinyl shop and support the owner by buying a record by his favorite band. laugh with people you’ve just met. exchange numbers. ask for book recommendations. buy that book in the book store right around the corner. take the bus to a park. watch the sunset. remember that you are loved. take the train back home. hang the polaroids up your wall. continue exploring and learning. learn to love life.

You are the whole sky, and no amount of storms will make me unlove you.

it’s hard to avoid all those beautiful works of art bullet journals on studyblr, but from the very beginning, i just knew i was not going to be able to do that. so when setting it up, i saw down and got really honest with myself about what i would and wouldn’t do. if i couldn’t picture myself doing a feature 100%, i didn’t add it

i used a muji dot grid notebook that my sister wasn’t using, and since it was available, hooray. you don’t need to use some expensive notebook for bullet journaling. like, if you’re as lazy as decorating as i am, then make yours stand out by choosing a less-known notebook brand, like this one

so anyway, here’s my daily layout. it’s super simple, with a tiny box for the date number and the day of the week, and an etc. space for the bottom. i’m currently using up my planner, and once i’m done with it, i’ll be cutting up the week over four pages instead of just one spread, because i like taking note of what happened in my day.

here’s my beginning of the month layout. i’m also thinking of spreading it out to two pages, and then making more like a traditional calendar format, so i can actually pencil in deadlines and get a more visual overview of them. i also tried a money goal tracker but that was better done in a spreadsheet, so i didn’t update it below. if someone wants a tutorial for how i made mine, let me know.

as for my habit tracker, it’s just really simple drawings over the date numbers. for example, i have a box to symbolize one habit, a shade for another habit, and some shadow for another habit. if i wanted to add more, i could always just add more symbols, like crossing out the number, and you can clearly see the days where i didn’t do so well because it’s so clean. bonus points to see because i didn’t have to set up an all new page for it

but yeah, that’s it. my extra pages are like quotes i want to remember, or a list of my favorite pages from an art book. it’s a really practical bullet journal, but i’m proud of the habit tracker

extra tips: have a page where you track the number of columns and rows, or if you’re using something rules, keep a measurement of the length of the width. it’s pretty helpful for any future ideas or if you just want to adjust your layout

and most importantly, add extra features only if you can clearly see yourself updating it and using it. if you can’t, scrap it

These breathtaking drone photos capture St. Ivan Rilski, a partially-submerged church near Bulgaria’s Zhrebchevo Dam. The church was part of a village that flooded to the point of disappearance when Bulgaria’s communist regime built the dam nearby in 1965.

When water levels are low enough, you’ll see remnants of the church cemetery, the Daily Mail reports. The hauntingly empty area is popular with photographers and artists, who set up tents to capture the landscape in all its lonesome glory. (Source)

Asperatus Clouds are so rare that they were only classified as of 2009. We know little about them other than the fact that they look mesmerizing.
