Fuck Yeah Tarot Decks!

@fuckyeahtarotdecks / fuckyeahtarotdecks.tumblr.com

Tarot art is really awesome, y'all. FYTD is dedicated to finding the most unique, beautiful, humorous, inspiring, or otherwise noteworthy Tarot decks. If you have a deck you think I should feature, feel free to leave the name of it in my Ask box and I'll post it. Sometimes when I get busy with school/life I queue up posts for a few days, so it might not get posted immediately but I will do it!

Because someone asked...the Dollar Tree deck is in the kid's section, near the magic stuff. It's at most of them, I believe.

Also I'm posting this both as eye-candy for you guys and as a public service announcement of sorts. This neat little deck is available at Dollar Tree for...you guessed it, a dollar! I picked up a few copies, my local one has tons.  I've seen a bunch of these flood ebay recently with 5$, 10$, 15$ pricetags and I'm just side-eyeing it. It's a cute little cheap deck, but don't get suckered into paying a lot for it! :)

Now here's a fun idea. Combine tarot readings with some bodywork when you use the Yoga Tarot. I don't have it, but I'd like to get it and try! Anyone out there used this one?

All these new decks are cool, but let's sprinkle in some Tarot history! Most people think of Tarot decks pre-Golden Dawn as not having illustrated pips, but the Sola Busca deck from the 1400s was the first deck with illustrated minors! When Pamela Coleman Smith created the iconic images for the Rider-Waite Smith deck,  you can clearly see the influence of the Sola Busca deck. Look at those 3 of Swords! (SB on left, RWS on right)  This is a really awesome deck, but unfortunately very difficult to find a copy of a reproduction. Lo Scarabeo put out one a few years ago, but their historical decks go OOP fast!

Check out Barbara Moore’s Tarot Advent Calendar she put together this December! The cards are all from the Tarot of Durer, and she shuffled them and put the first 25 into the calendar.

You can check out Barbara’s Facebook here, its a great resource for tarot readers and enthusiasts. You can also see what card she pulls each day.

This is kind of the raddest idea ever.
