Erica + Antone // Part I

Last Sunday I set out to Kubota Gardens here in Seattle to take some photos for my friends one year anniversary. I had met Erica myself nearly a little over a year ago when she first started dating Antone and it has been such a treat to see him sweep her off her feet since then. She had asked me a few days prior if I would take their photos since they barely had any of them together and really would like some for their one year. Of course I couldn't say no, so we went off to play in the beautiful fall foliage before the sun went down - which is currently around 4:30 pm for Seattle!

At the beginning of the month I had the privilege to host a dinner party in collaboration with Weight Watchers at a lovely little venue in Capitol Hill here in Seattle. The evening was filled with laughter, amazing food and great company. Around 20 of us were treated to a 3 course meal prepared by a local chef Chef Thad Lyman. It was awesome to see how he was able to curate a menu that was absolutely delicious, but still healthy and flavorful for all of us! As a girl that loves to have folks over for dinner, I definitely left the evening envisioned and encouraged for what future dinner parties can look like! A huge thanks to all the hands that made this evening such a success, it certainly was a night I won't be forgetting soon!

I had the pleasure of doing my first couple shoot with these two on one very rainy Seattle day. Joy & Jacob (could their names be any cuter together?!) were a total blast to work with and such good sports about the weather. Since their relationship is long distance, Joy approached me about snapping some photos while Jacob happened to be in town. I was more than happy to test out my abilities on these two Texans, and so glad I did. Being around them reminded me a bit of home (ATX, you will always have a piece of my heart) and while we might have ended the afternoon completely drenched, it was totally worth it! So here you go internet, my very first portrait session with two very adorable individuals!
