Then, before you can process what just happened, the entire patch of grass you were standing on turns out to be a fox who had turned itself inside out and you die.

I don't really have any conclusions about it, but I'm just rotating qPhil and the ancient city yesterday. I keep thinking of him as super cautious of dangerous places, the consummate survivalist, and in hardcore he's talked about how he'd never go to an ancient city (potentially the same character?) but here in qsmp he's the one luring Tubbo along to find treasure, to get XP, to go looting. He's the one who keeps saying they're fine as he mines catalysts in the middle of the city. He's going for it. And that's a huge difference in how he'd be with the eggs, or even when the Eggs are around! When it comes to his personal safety he's both far more conscious of the possibility of respawn (so death is not the end of the world), and far more willing to take risks in general.

We already saw how he goes way more chaotic when he's not worried about scaring Tallulah, but this is another way— just WAY more into danger when he's not running a program labeled "egg_safety.exe" at all times.

And yeah I don't really have any conclusions, but that was a kind of interesting thing to note for me, he's not normally cautious because of anxiety about himself, he's cautious just because of anxiety about the eggs.

they keep sending out expeditions to try and map the whole world and figure out if it's round or flat or what but it just keeps going and they keep meeting new people who've met other people coming the other direction and everybody so far has found that it just keeps going

Entire cultures of people who are determined to find the end, carrying the history of everywhere they've gone and all they do, their whole lives for generations is just heading west.
