Excellent question! If you read through the group (which is here, for anyone who missed it), there are people talking about some ways to help.
There is so much to be done. Sharing news articles and stories, lists of resources, donation and fundraising pages, and knowledge about food security is critical, but there’s a lot more work of all sorts.
Share and share and keep sharing. Eurocentrism and colonialism ruined their livelihood- banning local hunting for food, trade, fur etc. But allowing random white men to hunt for game. Seals are how they were able to have a local economy. They used every single part. Then, slowly, “social workers” and “activists” “missionaries” came and tool away their means. Took them from their homes. Put them in residential schools. A lot of reasons for their state of living now. Barely have access to resources, healthcare, everything is extremely inflated- $20 fo milk- and their homes, some do not have running water. Their homes have open holes in the ceilings and are the size of the ‘dumpster / trailer’ upscale home that hipsters now love.. Isn’t life fair– See @realcanadianhistory
