honestly if there’s one argument in favor of capitalism it is that now dogs can experience a level of hedonistic and decadent delight that was previously unattainable to them. that’s the platform capitalists should be running on.
people who like hear their alarm and sit right up in bed ready to go about their day are amazing. that’s like a super power. i cannot harness that much strength of will. I have an alarm set every five minutes for an hour before i plan on actually getting out of bed and even then it usually doesn’t work. i remember one time my mom woke me up to tell me my dad was in a car accident and the car flipped onto its side and I asked if he was ok and she said he wasn’t hurt so I immediately fell back asleep
i set alarms at weird intervals, maybe 15 per hour or so, before i have to be up. and usually can barely wake up at the latest possible moment i can manage to still be almost on time for stuff.
i cannot control my body. it has a mind of its own. i wish i could master it and just fall asleep and wake up, like that.

To dismantle the mirror is to dismantle oneself (“one’s self”), and find nothing in its destruction, nothing besides the image that distorts to show.
