EMERGE
the cicadas may be a ways off from crawling out of their shells and leaving their lives underground behind, but for me they are an eternal reminder of cycles and transition. it’s time to emerge, reemerge, or stay burrowed just a bit longer. here’s to a better year, to the fall of every evil empire, to us all continuing to fight for collective liberation and a free Palestine.
