After rewatching season 4 trailer for Apex, new thoughts have arrived.
Revenant realizes he was only programmed to believe he was still human and continued doing human habits such as shaving as we see in the trailer. It is assumed that in his mind his surroundings are well kept and “normal” when really they aren’t as we can tell with the dead plants, loose wiring, etc.
So throughout that time before the programming malfunctions, Revenant has been going about his day in these conditions doing human things.
He’s watering the plants, but the faucet doesn’t work, the cup is a cracked and broken vessel, and the plants are dead.
He’s making his bed, but the blankets and sheets are moth-eaten rags.
He goes to make some food, but the fridge is empty. Any containers present are also empty. His plate is empty and in reality, Revenant sits at a table raising an empty fork to his face plate and putting it back down to an empty broken plate.
He has a pet cat who sleeps a lot, but it’s just the bones of a stray.
He watches television from time to time, but really it’s just him sitting in a worn chair staring at a wall.
The surrounding floors of the building if not the entire building he stays in are/is empty. His immediate neighbors are just MRVN’s he thinks are people.
