#The people who say this don't even know what they mean#Because I've seen characters do literally everything in their power (maybe even acts outside of their power) to redeem themselves#and demonstrate they are 0% of the person they used to be#and it still isn't enough#People don't want a character held accountable#They just want the character to suffer forever because they don't like them#Also they think the character should die#It's the only redemption they'll accept because now they don't have to see the character they hate anymore#People are so not normal (in a bad way)#Fandom

I think we should write more straight relationships with 2010s TV queerbait tactics. Let that man and that woman's lives be horribly intertwined, let them take bullets for the other, let them be each other's meaning but NO KISSING. They are holding each other platonically. #I have a couple of times#But usually killing a character is just the nail in the coffin#Writing became progressively worse and then they topped it with character death#One example is Agents of SHIELD#I stopped watching after they killed Ward#They yoyo-ed back and forth so much showing us he was a victim since childhood and everyone in his life used him#poisoned him#Then they said “lol get dead because fans hate you”#And I immediately stopped watching#I also never watched the god-awful Timeless wrap-up movie because I knew the writing would be bad and they'd kill Flynn#so.......... yeah#Fandom#Polls#EDIT: Oh I forgot I stopped watching Supernatural for this and it wasn't even major character death#What was it? Early S9?#And some soldiers just returned home only to get possessed by demons and then killed#Their bodies left in a place no one would ever find them#(regardless of feelings for the military‚ we don't take that out on soldiers okay?)#And Sam and Dean had become so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ they said nothing/did nothing about these men who died#Meh#The complete disregard for human life from the good guys...#It was so distasteful I stopped watching SPN

I don't think that anyone is worth more than anyone else. I don't envy you the decisions you're going to have to make. And one day I'll be gone, and you'll have no one to talk to. But if you remember nothing else, please remember this:
Chess is just a game. Real people aren't pieces. You can't assign more value to some of them than to others. Not to me. Not to anyone. People are not a thing that you can sacrifice.
