I do not own the song Wonderwall by Oasis.

Akari:
Akari entered the household with a sigh. Today had been another stressful day for him, and the antics of troublesome duo, Hirato and Tsukitachi, had not helped.
The door closed behind him with a soft click as he started shrugging off his lab coat. He took off his shoes, lining them neatly with the other shoes present. Running one hand through his light pink hair, he folded his coat over his bent arm and loosened his tie.
He noted the peaceful atmosphere in the house and heard a quiet murmur. His brows furrowed and he peeked into the living room. Sure enough, the tv was on. He headed towards the couch, hanging up his coat and setting down his stethoscope along the way.
He maneuvered around the piece of furniture and stopped short in surprise. His wife was sleeping peacefully on the couch, curled up into a small ball. Her shoulders rose and fell in accordance with her soft breaths. A blanket was tucked below her waist, leaving her upper body uncovered.
Akari frowned briefly before gently tugging the blanket up to her shoulders. She moved slightly at the touch but otherwise remained asleep.
She must’ve been waiting for him again. He’d told her multiple times not to because he knew he would come home late, but she was quite stubborn.
His lips twitched upwards and he let out an amused huff. Grabbing the remote, he turned the television off. Then he returned his attention back to his current predicament, which was deciding what to do with his wife.
He could leave her there but her positions didn’t look entirely comfortable. He also could wake her up but…
Akari pursed his lips for a moment before crouching down and slowly moving his arms underneath (Name)’s backs and knees. On the count of three, he lifted her up with a grunt, careful not to bump her head. His wife’s head rested on his chest and he could feel her breathing.
Slowly and carefully, he made his way to their bedroom. He had to shift his positioning a bit to turn the doorknob. Using his shoulders, he pushed open the door and struggled to get (Name) in safely. He flicked on the lights with a shoulder and then made his way over to the bed.
He repeated the same process he did with picking up (Name). Bending down, he placed her head on the pillow first before gradually setting down the rest of her body on the bed. He let out a sigh as he straightened. Turning, he intended to undress-
“Akari?”
-or not.
“Go back to sleep,” He said gruffly as he heard her yawn and shift in the bed.
“You’re home…” (Name) said, ignoring his command.
“So I am. You should go back to sleep.”
“But-”
“Doctor’s orders (Name). Go back to sleep,” Akari said, turning his head so that he could see her behind him. She was pouting but still looked sleepy nonetheless.
“That’s not fair. Using your occupation like that…” She whined.
“(Name).”
“Alright alright.” She conceded, adjusting her position on the bed to a more comfortable one. “Can you at least give me a goodnight kiss?”
“…”
With another sigh, he made his way back to her side. He bent down, stiffly kissed her in the forehead, and then quickly turned away. But not before (Name) caught a glimpse of his face. She chuckled at the red slowly beginning to color her husband’s face.
Yawning, she closed her eyes. Moments later, she felt a pair of lips gently press against hers for a brief second. She heard words but she couldn’t imagine them from Akari.
“I said maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You’re my wonderwall”
She drifted off to the song, a small smile on her face. Akari studied her for a moment, memorizing her features before saying,
“I love you.”
