Hello, long time no see. I have been busy with work than ever (since stay-at-home) and that starts taking a toll on my body and creative mind. Recently I have been indulging in these little (self-reflect) comics by one of my fave artist. The struggle felt so close to home but also strangely, it encourages me as well. This particular one hits in the exact timing.  I wish everyone in good physical and mostly, mental health.

Ever since it came out I’m watching the Rausch / Craziness mid-concert-shenanigans on loop

Anyway the context is all 10 band members of RAS and Roselia are “students” and they’re taking an exam to figure out who the biggest idiot of them is. Ayasa and Aimi of Popipa are playing the teachers. They’re also all part of some committee or club.

Chaos ensues. Meguchi is dethroned of her position as class rep, Aiai is a thief, Tsumu thinks she can charm the teachers into giving her more points, and Aimi has seen enough. Raychell’s blatant Revue Starlight reference didn’t catch on as well as she hoped it would, but I respect her for it nevertheless

speaking as a Jewish person, this is incredibly important to me.

Christians in my experience know very little about the culture that is found within the stories of the old testament.

All of our stories are deeply rooted in the time and place that they occured.

Leviticus, for example, was when the Greeks were exploring and coming into contact with us.

They had a tradition of adult men having sexual relationships with boys (ages 12 to 17) as a form of mentorship.

The Hebrew people were like "uh no? Fucking gross." Thus it ended up in our holy texts.

Sodem and gamorah is a big one too.

The smiting that happened there wasn't because of homosexuality, but rather the nonstop eating, drinking, and fucking to the point of ruin.

Basically everyone was so busy with pleasure that the rest of the aspects of life no longer mattered to them. this was both a spiritual disaster and a very literal one for people outside the city who depended on it for goods and services.

so the two stories that Christians hold as anti gay evidence can be summed up in two parts:

- Pedophilia is fucking evil.

- You can't be selfish and just party all the time because then your community will fall apart.

So yeah we have never seen gay stuff as bad and neither did your homie Jesus.

also. We have words in Hebrew for several different genders and many scholars believe that King David was gay.

Interview with Ari North, Creator of 'Always Human'

Ari North is a queer cartoonist who believes an entertaining story should also be full of diversity and inclusion. As a writer, an artist, and a musician, she wrote, drew, and composed the music for Always Human, a complete romance/sci-fi webcomic about two queer girls navigating maturity and finding happiness.

Once a comic on Webtoon, Always Human has been adapted for print release, and the first book was published by Yellow Jacket in cooperation with GLAAD in early June.

Always Human started as a webcomic and now is reprinted as a book, how do you feel now that the first season is printed and released?

I’m really, really excited! I absolutely love webcomics (and other digital mediums such as podcasts and visual novels), but the very first stories I ever fell in love with were books with pages that turn.

(That said - webcomics, in general, are an incredible medium. There’s so much flexibility and freedom you don’t get in print, and because of this, there are so many wonderful queer stories in so many genres being created by people who want to share a part of who they are. Webcomics are a fantastic medium.)

This story is clearly very personal to you. How did your identity as a queer woman, and your personal believes affect the story?

The first thought that popped into my mind in response to this is the “this is the future that liberals want” meme.
