I think the flaw to the Only One Human approach is that people forget the Muppet Christmas Carol is the ONLY time it's been One Human and all the other movies are full of humans being as muppety as the muppets.

so like. yeah lucius is a human (in a relationship with muppet pete). olu and jim are humans but in the "still get wild musical numbers and a subplot" sense of amy adams and jason segel in the 2011 movie. ed might be a human but STRICTLY in the way tim curry was a human muppet in muppet treasure island.

I think that's why I hate sylki so much, because with most inc*st ships it's just a few people in the fandom being weird and even if it becomes popular in the fandom it's never validated by canon so it's easy to avoid and ignore the ship.

Also, sylki is inc*st, I've seen people try to argue it isn't but it is. Even if it isn't self-cest because they're "different people", then they still have the same exact parents with the exact same dna. They're still biologically siblings even if they weren't raised together.

Marvel has had some really bad romantic plots before and I usually don't really care, but it looks like they're trying to push a literal inc*stuous ship on-screen, which is just, no.

I'm not assuming, I'm going off of information given to us by the show. Sylvie says that her timeline was reset because she was born a girl, which is something I think needs more explaining because she was taken years after she was born but either way that's the information we're given as of now.

Anyway, because the nexus event happened sometime after/during Sylvie's conception, everything before that is the same as the TVA's sacred timeline and our Loki's timeline.

They're both definitely children of Laufey because of their last names and since Laufey was already alive when the nexus event occured his DNA has to be the same in both Loki's timeline and Sylvie's deleted one. They definitely share DNA, their birth parents are identical. They are biologically siblings because Sylvie's timeline branched too late for her parents' DNA to be different from Loki's parents. They're siblings. Sylki is inc*st.

we literally don't know if it's the same people with the same names or if they're as different as the Loki all seem to be! clearly not every Loki comes from the same gene pool (considering one of them is a GODDAMN ALLIGATOR)! we don't know if every Laufey is the same Laufey! for all we know she comes from a timeline where Laufey was king of Asgard and adopted her from Odin and Frigga!

it's also a complete fantasy situation with no irl parallel whatsoever, AND the MCU is very plausibly (not certainly but plausibly) gearing up for a situation where they may be giving us Thor on Thor action too considering Jane is going to be becoming Thor as well and she's not the only potential love interest for Valkyrie (Nebula and Sif are also in the running).

and as I've said before, Mobius also clearly fills an emotional need of Loki's that was largely created by Odin's neglect. he's an approving, supportive older man who encourages Loki's full potential. you could argue just as easily that there are incestuous overtones to that ship- except you probably wouldn't, because that's an unhinged, reaching reading of the text, and so's the idea that developing feelings for someone in your same role in a parallel timeline is at all comparable to incestuous abuse!

(incidentally, writing it as "inc*st" doesn't actually help anyone who has it on their block list, because it's not the actual word and will therefore slip past it, just as a heads up)

You know what I'm going to hate if they do loki/Sylvie canon? The bad representation of bisexuality, like, what that is going to said about us? That we fuck everything and everyone no matter what! Not matter if we're blood related (selfincest in this case). Think about it, if Sylvie is really a variant of Loki, they have the same parents (of course, in different realities) and don't say me that that it's something that Loki would do (fall in love with himself) because it's the same argument that people use to say that our Loki could even fuck a horse just because he's based on the Norse mitology God. I know it's normal in Norse mitology, but people (mostly het cisgen and homophobic) are bringing it to present day and treat Zoophilia like something normal (more normal than being LGBTQ+).

I'm going to hate this show if they do this. Bisexuals aren't weirdos.
